Jesus was fully man and is fully God. As a man I’m sure Jesus had a special love for His mother, but in His God nature Jesus love was the same as everyone for whom He came to die.
As for Mary being “sinless” as the CC teaches, Jesus clearly states that “ALL have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God” the Bible says it, that settles it!
As for my view of Mary, she was a young woman who when God asked something of her, she submitted to God’s will even though I’m sure it would bring on her great hardship and shame in the eyes of men. With this in mind we should follow her example (and the example of many others in the Bible) when faced with God’s will for us we must submit.

The Lord Jesus Christ, MY Father revealed this to me a long time ago. What I ask the unbelievers is this how can we give God anything since the whole earth is his. Also, no lie comes from the truth. None of his disciples in the Bible celebrated his birthday. That seed that was placed in Mary by the Holy Ghost existed eternally. My Father, Jesus clearly says come out from among them and be ye separate. If you rearrange the letters of Santa you get Satan. The Bible says to prove all things by the Word of God. Only Herod’s birthday in the new testament was kept and he cut of John’s head to. The Bible says beloved do not follow that which is evil.

Wow. Steve, before I even READ this, I had decided not to do Santa Claus for my children, one day in the future. It didn’t seem right to me. This article has only reinforced that decision. Thank you.

Now about celebrating this holiday, I’m not sure if I agree COMPLETELY with your words. However, I will respect it and consider.

Alright, I see that. I’m just saying that I don’t like seeing other religions or practices being put down; yes, it is all in the name of God! I totally agree with that part. But we as Christians should be more accepting of others. You may consider yourself accepting, but in a non-Christian’s perspective, this article is telling them that they are wrong– a lot. People like to think that they are right. It’s only natural. So let’s say that you were going to help an atheistic friend (or acquaintance, if you choose to not be friends with people like that) learn about God and Christianity and morality. By not being tolerant of their questions and understanding, you may send the wrong message to them about what being a Christian truly is. This article is very thorough, and supports your opinion very well– I commend you on behalf of that. Maybe this website is more for posting deep thoughts and debate; no one can really agree.

Thank you for understanding my thoughts, and may God bless you. I will ponder this; in the meantime, I think I’ll not say anything more.

I believe the context for Romans 13 is speaking of the church not worldly governments. For example 1 Corinthians 12:28 “And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.” In regards to voting If you know the person to be a true Christian that is great, but remember just because someone claims to be Christian doesn’t automatlcly make them one. Matthew 7:16
Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?

Aimee, no where in the article do I condemn ANYBODY for celebrating this secular holiday. In the last day Jesus will judge you for what you have done, I just posed the question “Should we as Christians Celebrate Halloween”. My thoughts are NO we should not and I have supported my argument with scripture. It is up to you to accept it or not.

This topic is very debatable. However, I do not like that you are condemning the people who try to argue this. There is a fine line between spreading God’s word and forcing people to convert, or switch over to it.

Can you please explain how Romans 13:1- 7 fit in to this. It seems as though they contradict each other.
And by the way I do see the correlation between the Verses you pulled out and the way the media is and this nation is governed, there is no doubt that satan has deceived quite a number of people into doing his works.
Do you think we should vote for Chrsitians running for office? I know a fellow that is running for senate in Virginia that is a Chrstian.
