The Mark of the Beast
-tfMatthew 16:3 "O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs of the times?
(The answer to this question is always, "NO!")
Leviticus 19:28 "Ye shall not . . . print any marks upon you: I am the Lord."
Revelation 13:1-18 "And he causeth all . . . to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads. . . ."
14:9-11 "If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand. The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God. . . ." (Men have said in response to this, "Oh, God is a forgiving God." -- !?!?!)
(Here is associated "worship" of an "image" and RECEIVING a "mark." It is a package deal.)
(Every "Catholic" is already half way there.)
v. 12 "Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus."
Exodus 20:3 "Thou shalt have no other gods before me." ("Mary", the "mother of god", the "pope", "Allah", etc.)
v. 4 "Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image. . . ." (Everybody does that: no big deal!)
v. 5 "Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them. . . ." (Everybody does that: no big deal!)
(There is no possible way to spiritualize these issues to make them go away, as do Seventh Day Adventists, claiming that "the mark of the beast" is worshipping on Sunday, following Ellen White into hell to prove that a "mark" isn’t a mark.)
Revelation 15 (all) "And I saw . . . them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name. . . ."
16:1-6 ". . . and there fell a noisome and grievous sore upon the men which had the mark of the beast, and upon them which worshipped his image."
19:11-21 "And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone." (God is a forgiving God?)
20:4 ". . . and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years."
Marks Received by Those that Belong to the Lord
Revelation 7:1-4 ". . . till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads."
Galatians 6:17 "From henceforth let no man trouble me: For I bear in my body the marks of the Lord Jesus."
Colossians 1:21-24 ". . . I Paul . . . now rejoice in . . . the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his body's sake. . . ."
Psalm 44:22 ". . . for thy sake . . . we are counted as sheep for the slaughter."
116:15 "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints."
