Knowledge (Abreviated)

Genesis 2:8-9 “And out of the ground made the Lord God to grow . . . the tree of knowledge of good and evil.”

[This is the first time the word “knowledge” is used.]

1) Prior to 3:6, Adam and Eve have no knowledge of “good and evil:” they are innocent (and naive). [They are children.]

2) They do not NEED “knowledge of evil” because they are protected from it by the Lord.

a) Lions, bears, alligators, sharks, tigers, etc. all eat herbs. (See 1:30)

b) Satan can not touch them without permission from the Lord (see Job) and Satan wouldn’t get permission. Continue reading Knowledge (Abreviated)

Keeping What is Committed to Us

Luke 16:11 “If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches?”

QUESTION: What is the true riches, here?

1st Timothy 6:20-21 “O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called: which some professing have erred concerning the faith.”

2nd Timothy 1:14 “That good thing which was committed unto thee keep by the Holy Ghost which dwelleth in us.” Continue reading Keeping What is Committed to Us

Matthew 7:1 “Judge not, that ye be not judged.”

(Every unsaved hypocrite and phoney “Christian” in the world knows this verse!)

[The context for this verse is in the following verse, 2 “For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.”]

Romans 2:1-3 “And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them which do such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God?”

[When Matthew 7:1 is lifted from its context it is simply not true. Speaking generally, as opposed to the specific context of this verse; whether or not we judge, we shall all be judged.] Continue reading Judgment

Psalm 5:11 “But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them: let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee.”

32:11 “Be glad in the Lord, and rejoice, ye righteous: and shout for joy, all ye that are upright in heart.”

Israel, Hated

[Anything God loves, Satan and his people naturally hate.]

Genesis 43:32 “. . . the Egyptians [do not eat] with the Hebrews; for that is an abomination unto the Egyptians.”

[Exactly as Cain was envious of Able and therefore murdered him, Ishmael, to this day, is simply furious with ENVY against Isaac because Isaac is the chosen seed!]

Genesis 21:12 “. . . for in Isaac shall thy seed be called.” [not Ishmael]

Romans 9:7 “. . . neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called.”

Hebrews 11:17-18 “By faith Abraham, when he was tried, offered up Isaac: and he that had received the promises offered up his only begotten son, of whom it was said, That in Isaac shall thy seed be called. . . .”

1st Samuel 13:4 “And all Israel heard say . . . that Israel also was had in abomination with the Philistines.”

Nehemiah 4:1-8 “But it came to pass, that when Sanballat, and Tobiah, and the Arabians, and the Ammonites, and the Ashdodites, heard that the walls of Jerusalem were made up, and that the breaches began to be stopped, then they were very wroth, and conspired all of them together to come and to fight against Jerusalem, and to hinder it.” Continue reading Israel, Hated

Israel, Backslidden

Israel’s Leaders Cause Her to Sin

[Haters of the Jews are quick to justify themselves by pointing out specific evil committed by the Israeli government, but such judgment is not justice. For example, the U.S. government is much more evil than the American people it rules over, and American neo-Nazis do not blame the American people for the worldwide wickedness committed by the CIA in serving the agenda of the same “global elite” that elements of the Israeli government serve.]

Isaiah 3:12 “O my people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths.” Continue reading Israel, Backslidden

Isaiah 53

v. 1 “Who hath believed. . . ?”

John 12:37-38 “But though he had done so many miracles before them, yet they believed not. . . .”

“. . . and to whom is the arm of the Lord revealed?”

Matthew 11:25-27 “. . . he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.”

(Example: Matthew 16:15-17 “. . . flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father. . . .”)

Luke 17:27-30 “Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.”

“ out of a dry ground . . .” (the world)

Proverbs 21:31 “The horse is prepared against the day of battle: but safety is of the Lord.”

Psalm 4:8 “I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, Lord, only makest me dwell in safety.”

33:17 “An horse is a vain thing for safety: neither shall he deliver any by his great strength.”

1st Thessalonians 5:3 “For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them. . . .”

[They say “peace and safety” because that is what they desire. (and they do not have it!)] Continue reading Insurance

Idle Words

Psalm 34:13 “Keep thy tongue from evil. . . .” Continue reading Idle Words

Humanism is the religion of the “New Age”, yet it is very old. Its believers have:

(1) fanatical “Optimism” (“We can have utopia on earth, if we all pull together!”);

(Men never learn anything from history, so, of course history is always repeated.)

(2) faith in “Evolution” above science, history, and common sense;

(The second law of thermodynamics (entropy) dictates that everything left to its own degrades: nothing ever improves when left to random chance and unsupervised circumstance.)

(3) faith in man; and Continue reading Humanism

How To Talk (as a Christian)

Proverbs 16:23 “The heart of the wise teacheth his mouth, and addeth learning to his lips.”

15:28 “The heart of the righteous studieth to answer: but the mouth of the wicked poureth out evil things.”

10:11 “The mouth of a righteous man is a well of life. . . .” (You can get something good from a well!)

15:4 “A wholesome tongue is a tree of life. . . .” (You can get something good from a tree!) Continue reading How To Talk (as a Christian)
