Genesis 6:4 ". . . the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown." [Esteemed of men!]
[This is the first time the word "mighty" is used.]
10:8-9 "Nimrod . . . began to be a mighty one in the earth . . . a mighty hunter before the Lord. . . ."
[This is the second time.]

vs. 9 "Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the Lord did there confound the language. . . ."
[Apparently, the Lord didn't want this thing to turn into a "great and mighty nation," yet. Why?]
18:18 Because: ". . . Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation. . . ."
[According to the Lord's promise.]
12:1-3 ". . . I will make of thee a great nation, and I will . . . make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing. . . ."
[The citizens of Babylon have always rejected this: they are anti-Semitic.]
