This bible study is for soldiers in the Lord who are comfortable with (or at least capable of) getting doctrine from the word of God, even when “the truth” is unpopular and widely contradicted by the latest fads of mainstream “orthodoxy.” The scripture references here will not likely make impact on spiritual babies determined to defend denominational dogmas; “Baptists with a big ‘B,’” Church of Christ, Inc., Charismatics, Pentecostals, Ecumenicals, knee-jerk Laodicean phonies, liberals, and milky optimists . The so-called “pre-Tribulation rapture” (the “any-moment” or “secret rapture”) is not in the word of God in any terms. Scripture does not even hint at this heresy; and, to the contrary, clearly preaches “resurrection” “at the last day” “at the last trump” at the Lord’s coming in power and glory on “the Lord’s day”, which glorious event is anything but “secret.” The “rapture” is a blatant Satanic hoax, and no church but one having a spirit of “Laodicea” would have bought into a movement so desperately clinging to a lie. The present widespread belief in the “rapture” invites spiritual death on a grand scale for all who are swept up by the deception, Satan’s prime strategy to bring about the coming “falling away” warned of by the Lord. The “rapture” deceivers would lead you into a series of ridiculous fairy tales and lies that fly in the face of each precious new testament warning given to us by the Lord; and, as is common, they simply yell out the mantra, “That was written to the Jews!” (It should be observed that our doctrinal enemies, themselves, point out that the ability to be deceived on this issue hinges directly upon the issue of whether or not, or to what extent, the Christian accepts Israel/church “dichotomy” theories – see: Romans 11.)
Λ 2nd Thessalonians 2:1-10 “ Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, that ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things? And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time. For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: even him, whose coming is Λ after 7 the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders. . . .”
[This scripture is directly to the point, and perfectly clear:]
(1) Immediately, the first part of this passage makes it impossible that “our gathering together unto him” will be “at any moment” or “secret,” for reasons stated in this passage itself (in addition to others):
(a) “[O]ur gathering together unto him” takes place at “the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ,” which is referred to as “the day of Christ”, and all three terms are then referred to in the singular as “that day”;
(i) “our gathering together unto him” is not a separate event, but is part of “the day of Christ;
(ii) There are many prophesies given elsewhere in the bible concerning things which must come to pass BEFORE the day of Christ, for example:
Acts 2:20 “The sun shall be turned into darkness . . . before that great and notable day of the Lord come. . . .”
Joel 2:31-32 “The sun shall be turned into darkness . . . before the great and the terrible day of the Lord come.”
Malachi 4:5 “Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD. . . .” (Moses and Elijah are clearly the “two candlesticks” who come before.)
(iii) All “pre-trib” deceivers rabidly claim that, (1) “the “day of the Lord” is a different day than “the day of Christ,” and (2) that “the day of Christ” is a “secret” coming!”
Both these statements are a lie.
Both of these two terms, “day of the Lord” and “day of Christ” refer to exactly the same day.
[Do you see how that they expect you to swallow that “the Lord” is not “Christ”?]
The day at issue is categorically NOT secret, regardless of what you call the day, and
While it is true that the bible states that the Lord will come “as a thief in the night” (revealing that the world will not be expecting him to come when he comes), this fact is specifically stated using the term, “the day of the Lord”, NOT “the day of Christ”!
Λ 1st Thessalonians 5:2 “For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.”
And, on the day of his coming “as a thief in the night,” he is definitely not coming “secretly”!
2nd Peter 3:10 “But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.”
QUESTION: Could this be the Lord’s way of describing a SECRET event?
ANSWER: No, that’s insane. The phrase “as a thief in the night” is telling you that nobody EXPECTED his coming; NOT that the Lord sneaks in by stealth and nobody noticed!
(b) It is given in 2nd Thessalonians 2:1-5, “Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition. . . .”
QUESTION: Is it possible then that “our gathering together unto him” could happen at any moment?
ANSWER: No, Paul tells you plainly that “a falling away” and a revealing of “that man of sin” will happen first, so it definitely will NOT happen at “any moment!”
(c) The Lord’s coming will be “after the working of Satan” NOT BEFORE!
2nd Thessalonians 2:8-9 “And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders. . . .”
(2) In 2nd Thessalonians 2:3, the meaning of “falling away” is twisted by the deceived proponents of the “rapture” movement to mean “falling away from the planet,” thereby reversing the intent of the passage, and forcing “falling away” to refer to “a rapture coming before the rapture” turning the text into an absurdity! Such outrageous handling of the word of God is proof of the devilish source of the movement. Those who take part in this wresting of scripture, do so unto their own destruction.
(a) “falling away” comes from “apostasia” (apostasy) which is “falling away from the truth”! (This is grade school!) (An “apostate” is a person who once stood on the truth, but fell away from it afterward; as compared to someone who never had the truth.) [The wresting of the truth in this matter is helped by the ungodly “Once Saved Always Saved” doctrine which teaches that “It’s impossible to fall away, even if you wanted to,” protecting the absurd belief that “falling away” can NOT mean “falling away” from Christ, creating more ridiculous conclusions to explain away what is plainly written here.]
(b) The word of God clearly reveals that you CAN “fall away” and clearly defines what “fall away” MEANS:
(i) Luke 8:13 “They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away.”
(ii) Hebrews 6:4-6 “For it is impossible . . . if they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.”
(This does NOT say that “it is impossible to fall away,” as claimed by Baptists and Calvinists and others, but rather it clearly states that, “if they shall fall away,” it is “impossible . . . to renew them again unto repentance. . . .” The thing that is “impossible” is to “renew them again” WHEN THEY FALL AWAY!)
(3) The “gathering together unto him” happens “after” the “falling away”.
(4) Many of those who “fall away” mistakenly EXPECTED to be “raptured out before,” while the word of God plainly stated EXACTLY THE OPPOSITE! When their “rapture” doesn’t come, deceived “Christians” will assume the Lord has abandoned them (or lied to them) and they will take the “mark of the beast” as a result of their belief in a lie, which is exactly the Satanic purpose behind this world sweeping deception!
Λ Mark 13:24-27 “But in those days, Λ after that tribulation, 7 the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken. And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory. And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven.”
[When pre-tribbers are forced to deal with this passage they ignore everything in it except for the last part of verse 27; placing emphasis on “to the uttermost part of heaven,” pretending that “heaven” here refers to “the third heaven” (or “kingdom of heaven”) rather than the “firmament of heaven” (as made clear by “the four winds”) trying to convince themselves that the “elect” spoken of here were previously “raptured” and already in heaven – coming DOWN to join the Lord, rather than being “taken up.” How sick!
(See: Genesis 1:14-20 “And God said, Let the . . . fowl . . . fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.”)
Λ Matthew 24:29-31 “Immediately Λ after 7 the tribulation of those days . . . they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.”
[In other words, EVERYWHERE! And incidentally, what part of “after” do you not understand?]
Luke 3:4-7 “. . . And all flesh shall see the salvation of God.” (The coming of the Lord is not “secret.”)
Revelation 1:7 “Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him. . . .”
1st Thessalonians 4:13-18 “. . . with the trump . . . the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive. . . .”
(a) The dead in Christ are not coming down to joint the Lord; they are going to “rise”!
(b) Paul says “we” here? Do you think Paul is speaking of himself as not part of the church?)
1st Corinthians 15:51-52 “. . . at the last trump . . . the dead shall be raised . . . and we shall be changed.”
[The dead in Christ are raised and the remnant in Christ who are still living are changed “at the last trump”.]
(Could that be said any more clearly?)
(There are only two resurrections, and only one of them is unto life: the “second” is unto the lake of fire! – Rev. 20)
Acts 24:14-16 “. . . there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and unjust.”
Λ 1st Corinthians 15:21-23 “But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ’s at his coming.” [That is, NOT at a secret rapture before his coming, but AT HIS COMING!] (The dead, NOT in Christ, are resurrected “a thousand years” later and judged at the “white throne” judgment, in Revelation 20.)
(Again): 1st Corinthians 15:51-52 “. . . at the last trump . . . the dead shall be raised . . . and we shall be changed.”
QUESTION: Was there a trumpet at the last funeral you attended?
ANSWER: No, because there was no resurrection, and that dead person is still dead and buried!)
Acts 2:29-34 “. . . let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried . . . [and] is not ascended into the heavens. . . .” (Lots of “Christians” think they’re more important than king David.)
(No, Virginia, the “dear departed” has not yet “gone on to be with the Lord,” regardless of statements to that effect by the cluck officiating at “grave side services.”)
Psalm 104:29 “. . . thou takest away their breath, they die, and return to their dust.”
146:3-4 “. . . in that very day his thoughts perish.”
(Immediately, the next thing the dead know is resurrection, but that hasn’t happened yet as measured by us still living!)
Λ Daniel 7:21 “I beheld, and the same horn made war with the saints, and prevailed against them. . . .”
(1) Normally you think “the saints” would include YOU, but in this case, you refuse to believe it!
(2) In Daniel 7:21 you think “the saints” refers to ANYBODY EXCEPT YOU . . .
“the saints” could mean “the tribulation saints,” if we added a word or two;
“the saints” might mean “the Jews,” if we used our anti-Semitic imaginations;
“the saints” could possibly refer to people who weren’t “special” like we are;
“the saints” might refer to non-Americans, that God doesn’t really care about as much; or
“the saints” might be other people that God will exercise his “wrath” upon; [Aren’t you something?!!]
and anyway, this is in the old testament and it “doesn’t mean anything for the new testament church.”
Λ Revelation 13:5-7 “. . . and power was given unto him . . . to make war with the saints, and to overcome them. . . .”
“the saints” could mean “the tribulation saints;”
“the saints” might possibly mean “the Jews;”
“the saints” could possibly refer to people who weren’t “special” like we are;
“the saints” might refer to non-Americans, that God doesn’t really care about as much;
“the saints” might be people that God exercises his “wrath” upon; whatever, but . . .
and anyway, this is in Revelation and nobody knows what Revelation means.
v. 8 “And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life. . . .”
[Why is the exception given in the second half of the sentence, if the exception does NOT “dwell upon the earth”? Are you trying to tell yourself that this verse describes born again Christians IN HEAVEN, not taking “the mark of the beast”? If that were the case, the verse would only have to state: “And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him. . . .”]
v. 9 “If any man have an ear, let him hear.” (This was given to you so you would pay attention to what’s being said!)
[The “501(c)3” corporate, government sanctioned, Jesuit trained pastors no longer have ears (they sold out for money and prestige), and are now in the “business” of flagrantly deceiving “their flocks”!
[”Pre-Tribbers” have to invent several (at least two, sometimes three and four) resurrections. It goes like this:]
1) “For the church” [Christ comes in the clouds but stays in the clouds in the “secret rapture” for the church only, “before anything bad happens.”] (NONE of this slop is in the bible!)
2) “For old testament saints” (no such term in the bible) [Abraham, Sarah, David, Noah, Ezekiel, Jacob, etc.]
(“Pre-Tribbers” think they should go before these UNIMPORTANT people.)
3) “For tribulation saints” [Satan INVENTED this term to make “saints” NOT include “the church.”] (How sick!)
Λ (1st Corinthians 12:13 “For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.”)
QUESTION: What part of “one” do you not understand?
Revelation 7:13-14 “These are they which came out of great tribulation”
QUESTION: Who is “they” here?)
[Deceived and carnal “Christians” think the “saints” in the tribulation could not possibly refer to themselves (even though millions of Christians throughout the world receive, and have received, horrible persecution) so they wrest scripture “unto their own destruction” (2nd Peter 3:16) to justify IGNORING certain embarrassing verses, the whole point of which was to WARN THEM so that they would not get faint hearted and quit right before the finish line!]
1st Peter 4:12-13 “Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you. . . .”
QUESTION: Who is “you” here?
John 16:33 “In the world ye shall have tribulation. . . ”
QUESTION: Who is the Lord talking to when he says “ye”?
1st Thessalonians 3:1-5 “. . . no man should be moved by these afflictions: for yourselves know that we are appointed thereunto. For verily, when we were with you, we told you before that we should suffer tribulation. . . .”
QUESTION: Who is “we” here?
Luke 21:16-19 “And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake. . . .In your patience possess ye your souls.”
[You need “patience” because you will be here LONGER than you want! If you were in heaven sipping on an iced tea, you wouldn’t need any patience!]
Matthew 25:1-13 “They that were foolish . . . took no oil with them. . . .” (They thought he was coming SOONER!)
[They were “Ready for the rapture!”, but they were NOT READY to go the distance for the resurrection!]
(again) 2nd Thessalonians 2:3 “. . . that day [of the lord] shall not come, except there come a falling away first. . . .”
Matthew 24:42-44 “Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh” (LATER than YOU think, not earlier than we think!)
Isaiah 40:31 “. . . they that wait upon the Lord shall . . . mount up with wings as eagles. . . .” (The key word is “wait.”)
(It’s no loss to me at all if the Lord comes EARLIER than I expect him: in either case I’ll be waiting for him.)
1st Corinthians 4:9-14 “. . . being persecuted, we suffer it . . . I warn you.” (You NEED to be warned!)
Revelation 14:9-12 “. . . here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.” (BOTH!)
[This is actually one of the proof texts used by denominationally deceived pre-tribbers to prove that “We are not included with “tribulation saints” (a non-biblical term) because they also refuse to keep the commandments!]
12:17 “And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.”
(They’re still on earth AND still keeping the commandments, whether you like it or not.)
[Deceived “Christians” claim this verse is not a reference to themselves, because they “. . . don’t keep the commandments!” imagining they say something spiritually good about themselves.]
John 14:15 “If ye love me, keep my commandments.” (You have been deceived on that score, too!)
Matthew 5:19 “Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.”
Revelation 12:11 “. . . and they loved not their lives unto the death.” (Laodicean “Christians” reject tribulation because they can’t even imagine having to be faithful unto death!)
(You don’t have the truth: what you have is a “feel good” religion.)
Λ Revelation 2:10 “. . . ye shall have tribulation . . . be thou faithful unto death. . . .” (Who’s a liar here?)
(Romans 3:4 “. . . let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written. . . .”)
[ The deceived man says, “You’re trying to take away my blessed hope!” ]
[No, I’m telling you the truth to warn you against a Satanic lie. The real “blessed hope” is that the Lord is coming to get us, whether we’re dead or alive. Our job is to endure faithfully unto the end, whichever the case.]
(Matthew 24:13 “But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.”)
(Mark 13:13 “And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.”)
[The pre-tribulation rapture deception ignores even the verse from which the term “blessed hope” is taken (Titus 2:13), wherein it is clearly given that the “blessed hope” is his “glorious appearing,” the Laodicean FALSE “blessed hope” is a fictional previous “secret rapture” at which the Lord specifically “DOES NOT APPEAR”!]
[A “Pre-tribber” says, “The Lord promised he’d take us out of the world before anything bad happened.”]
[Wrong, the Lord never made any such promise. Children believe in “Santa Claus” because they want to believe their parents (who lie to them), just like naive “Christians want to believe their false pastors (especially when they tell them exactly what they think they want to hear!)]
Λ 2nd Timothy 4:3-4 “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; and they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.” [EXACTLY!]
QUESTION: How do you explain all the Christians in the past who were tortured to death and slaughtered like animals; and that such persecution is still taking place today all over the world, as it will soon be also in America?
John 17:15 “I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.”
FOR EXAMPLE: Revelation 18:4 “Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins. . . .”
2nd Corinthians 6:17 “. . . come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord. . . .”
[The problem is that the Laodicean church is full of fleshy “Christians” who are not like Christ at all, but rather they love their lives, and simply do not intend to suffer for the Lord’s sake.]
(John 12:25 “He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal.”)
John 12:26-27 “If any man serve me, let him follow me . . . and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour. . . ?”
[Carnal Christians think their life is important, but the Lord is glorified rather by our DEATH.]
Psalm 116:15 “Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints.”
John 21:18-19 “This spake he, signifying by what death [Peter] should glorify God.”
[The Laodicean man, in a pretense of shock and disbelief, asks me: “Would a loving God let his church suffer?”]
THE ANSWER IS: Absolutely YES! For 2,000 years, the church has suffered the most unimaginable cruelty!
(Are you completely ignorant of history in addition to not applying biblical doctrine to your thinking?)
Philippians 1:27-30 “For unto you it is given . . . not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake. . . .”
[Modern day Christians think “suffering” is being fifteen minutes late for dinner.]
Romans 8:16-17 “. . . we are . . . joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him. . . .”
2nd Timothy 2:9-12 “. . . if we suffer, we shall also reign with him. . . .”
2nd Thessalonians 1:4-6 “. . . we ourselves glory in you in the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that ye endure: which is a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, that ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer. . . .”
Matthew 10:24 “The disciple is not above his master, nor the servant above his lord.”
Revelation 11:15 “And the seventh [and last] angel sounded. . . .” (That is, “the last trump.” See: Revelation 8:6 )
v. 15 “The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord . . . and he shall reign for ever and ever.”
[Presently, the world belongs to Satan, as anybody who believes the bible, already knew. (See: Matthew 4:8-9)]
v. 17 “. . . thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned.”
Λ v. 18 “And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.” (the UN, trilateralists, “CFR”, “global elite”)
[This one verse has it all:]
“thy wrath is come . . .” (The Lord’s wrath is not against his people! It is directed against his enemies.)
Nahum 1:2,5,6 “. . . the Lord will take vengeance on his adversaries. . . . Who can stand before his indignation?”
Isaiah 26:20-21 “Come, my people . . . hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast.”
“the time of the dead, that they should be judged . . .” (That’s resurrection!)
(Romans 14:9-12 “. . . dead and living . . . we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.”)
“that thou shouldest give reward . . .”
(Matthew 16:27 “For the Son of man shall come . . . and then he shall reward every man. . . .”
“unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints . . .” (of that one body, for the same purpose, at the same time.)
1st Corinthians 12:13 “one body” (There’s only one body belonging to the Lord, and only one resurrection.)
Ephesians 3:6 “Gentiles” become “fellowheirs, and of the same body. . . .” (There are NOT TWO bodies!)
2:12-15 “. . . Christ Jesus . . . who hath made both one. . . .” (Not two; ONE! See: Romans 11)
“and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.” (How you “feel” about this depends on whose side you’re on.)
(Mark 13:1-23 (6) “And Jesus answering them began to say, Take heed lest any man deceive you: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.” (also in Luke 21:8)
[“Fundamentalist” Christians have been trained to believe, concerning this warning against being deceived, that “saying, I am Christ”, refers to the occasional obvious imposter who claims to be Christ. (Such charlatans are well funded by Satan through government, and highly touted by the controlled media, to keep this idea fresh in the public mind.) The glaring truth is that Christians easily identify such men as anti-Christs, so that this interpretation of Mark 13:6 amounts to a NON-warning. It never occurs to Christians that the Lord was warning his people of much more subtle “wolves” in “sheep’s clothing”, who operate unnoticed in large numbers on the inside of the church, behind the pulpits, having degrees from the seminary schools! Such men are much more valuable as agents, and more insidious in their effect, being placed WITHIN the camp for tactical use at the appropriate time. These men admit that, JESUS CHRIST is Christ, as the Lord said, “saying, I [Jesus Christ] am Christ”), pretending (as the Jesuits have so skillfully done for centuries when posing as members of the flock), by saying all the things that we expect them to say, EXCEPT THOSE PARTICULAR THINGS THAT PERTAIN TO THEIR AGENDA, and this is wherein their value lies as agents! These men are in position to deceive at the critical time pursuant to their real purpose. Modern Christians are trained to believe that, “We should believe them according to their profession of faith.”, but this is a lie! “Ye shall know them by their fruits.” – Matthew 7:16. If they tell lies, they are liars.]
Acts 14:22 “. . . we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.”
ALLEGORIES (or “Pictures”) OF THE RESURRECTION
(Pointing to Enoch as “a picture of the church” is pure desperation.)
(1) The Plagues Sent Against Egypt While Israel Was Still in Egypt. (The Lord’s plagues were directed against the Egyptians, not Israel, and Israel wasn’t taken out (to the promised land) until AFTER those plagues.) (Water turned to blood, locusts, hail & fire, darkness, death.)
Exodus 7:1-5 “And the Egyptians shall know that I am the Lord, when I stretch forth mine hand upon Egypt, and bring out the children of Israel from among them.”
8:20-23 “And I will put a division between my people and thy people: to morrow shall this sign be.”
9:1-6 “And . . . all the cattle of Egypt died: but of the cattle of the children of Israel died not one.”
vs. 11-14 “For I will . . . send all my plagues upon thine heart, and upon thy servants, and upon thy people. . . .”
(So now, who belongs to Pharaoh and who belongs to the Lord Jesus?)
vs. 22-26 “So there was hail, and fire mingled with the hail, very grievous. . . . Only in the land of Goshen, where the children of Israel were, was there no hail.”
(Psalm 105:32 “He gave them hail for rain, and flaming fire in their land.”)
Revelation 8:6-7 “The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up.”
[The Lord’s wrath is against Satan’s kingdom (this world) as He first destroys a third of it (as Satan did to Him.)
10:21-23 “And the Lord said unto Moses, Stretch out thine hand toward heaven, that there may be darkness over the land of Egypt . . . but all the children of Israel had light in their dwellings.”
(2) The Lord with Moses at Mount Horeb (This is the first time the word “trumpet” is in the bible.)
Exodus 19:10-13 “. . . the Lord will come down in the sight of all the people. . . .” (There’s no “secret” about this!)
“. . . when the trumpet soundeth long, they shall come up. . . .” (and not a second sooner!)
(3) The Fall of Jericho (A perfect biblical “PICTURE”)
Joshua 5:13-15 [Notice that “the Lord himself” shows up in person.] (See Hebrews 2:9-10 for “Captain.”)
1st Thessalonians 4:16-17 “For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout . . . and with the trump of God and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which . . . remain shall be caught up together with them . . .”
Joshua 6:3-5 “. . . the trumpet . . . the people shall shout with a great shout . . . the people shall ascend up. . . .”
[Now, the people don’t go up on just any trump, but at the last, or seventh trump!]
vs. 15-16 “. . . on the seventh day . . . at the seventh time . . . with the trumpets . . . the people went up . . . .”
v. 20 “shouted . . . trumpets . . . trumpet . . . shouted with a great shout . . . the people went up. . . .”
(again) 1st Thessalonians 4:16 “For the Lord himself shall descend . . . with a shout. . . .”
Jeremiah 25:30 “Therefore prophesy thou against them all these words, and say unto them, The Lord shall roar from on high, and utter his voice from his holy habitation; he shall mightily roar upon his habitation; he shall give a shout, as they that tread the grapes, against all the inhabitants of the earth.”
Psalm 47:5 “God is gone up with a shout, the Lord with the sound of a trumpet.”
Isaiah 42:13 “The Lord shall go forth as a mighty man, he shall stir up jealousy like a man of war: he shall cry, yea, roar; he shall prevail against his enemies.”
Joel 3:9-16 “The Lord also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but the Lord will be the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel.”
Isaiah 63:1-6 “I have trodden the winepress alone . . . for I will . . . trample them in my fury. . . . For the day of vengeance is in mine heart, and the year of my redeemed is come.”
v. 21 “And they utterly destroyed all that was in the city . . .” (Remember: Revelation 11:15,18)
“. . . with the edge of the sword.” (See: Deuteronomy 32:41-42)
Isaiah 66:10-16 [deliverance for one group, destruction for the other] (This is the “day of the Lord.”)
[It is pure ignorance in this context to go around quoting “. . . God hath not appointed us to wrath. . . .” from 1st Thessalonians 5:9 (ignoring v. 10) Of course Christians are not appointed unto God’s wrath. (Job 21:30; Isaiah 13:9,13) The “great tribulation” is NOT the “day of the Lord’s anger.” It is Satan’s wrath against true Christians who will not worship him! It is Satan who is angry. The Lord Jesus contains his fury against his enemies until the end. (Sodom and the cities round about was just a preview of this truth.)
Revelation 12:12 “Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and of the sea: for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he that but a short time.” [which time is “shortened . . . for the elect’s sake”.]
Matthew 24:22 “And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.” (That is, for YOUR sake, unless you want to argue that you’re not among “the elect.”)
2nd Peter 3:10-12 “But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat. . . .”
[Laodicean deceivers quote only the first part of this verse, pointing out that since “a thief comes quietly and unnoticed,” so will the Lord’s coming be; but the second half of the verse destroys that assumption. The Lord’s coming is completely UNEXPECTED by the world, however there is NO WAY to describe the heavens passing away “with a great noise” and the elements melting “with fervent heat” as being a “SECRET”.]
1st Thessalonians 5:4 “But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.”
(Is your “blessed hope” that the Lord will come for you, or is your hope that you will have it easy until he comes?)
Λ Titus 2:13 The “blessed hope”: “resurrection” at “the glorious appearing”.
[There’s nothing “secret” or “pre-trib” here!]
See: v. 14 “. . . and purify unto himself a peculiar people. . . .” (“Laodiceans” always try to ignore this word, “purify.”)
(Daniel 12:10 “Many shall be purified . . . and tried . . . the wise shall understand.”)
(Do you understand? Or do you refuse to even hear, let alone, consider what is written?)
1st Peter 1:3-11 “That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ. . . .”
Revelation 3:14,18 “unto . . . the church of the Laodiceans . . . I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire. . . .”
[The Laodicean church is the only church that the Lord has nothing good to say about.]
– Lord, open their eyes.
Satan’s Work Within the Churches In Support of “Pre-tribulation Rapture” (the short list)
(1) The belief that the Lord preserved his word and we have it in our hands has been REMOVED, in order to get us to accept the “new” versions of the bible which have blatantly perverted doctrine on this subject and caused doubt or rejection of the Authorized (King James).
Λ 2nd Timothy 3:15 “. . . from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures. . . .” (Not “the originals”!)
(A) When Paul wrote this to Timothy, the “originals” no longer existed, but Timothy still KNEW “the holy scriptures”. The hypocrites behind the pulpits have been taught by their seminary instructors to publicly claim belief in something they have never seen (and never can see), to deceive the naive believers in the congregation, so they might gain opportunity to systematically wreck their faith in the bible. This diabolically wicked work of Satan from within “the churches” (Matthew 10:16 & Acts 20:29) results in more destruction to the church than anything Satan could do OUTSIDE the church.
(B) The word “scripture” (in one of its forms) is used 53 times in the bible and every time refers to COPIES held by the people, and never to any “originals” or “original plenary autographs” in a “monastery.”
(2) Doctrine, the word, the concept, and power of it, is removed. (The word, “doctrine”, simply disappears in the “new” versions, and what concepts remain are warped, twisted, and perverted to suit Satan’s agenda.)
(3) “One Shall Be Taken,” [They teach that these verses speak of those who are “taken up in a secret rapture.”]
Matthew 24:1-4; 29-44 (40) “Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.”
(also) Luke 17:20-37 (34) “I tell you, in that night there shall be two men in one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left.”
Examine the context of the Matthew 24 passage, verses . (Pre-tribbers reject the large number of verses that make their theory impossible, but concentrate rather on forced “interpretations” of a few verses subject to misinterpretation, while intentionally ignoring the stated context of the passages.)
(vs. 1-3) “Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?” [The Lord’s subsequent answer is in response to two specific questions:]
(1) “When shall these things be?” [This is answered by verses 4-36.]
(2) “[W]hat shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?”
[This is answered by verses 37-44.]
(4) Falling Away from Christ has to be made impossible, non-existent, or irrelevant (thus we have, “once saved, always saved”) to escape the clear meaning of 2nd Thessalonians 2:3, creating a dead, fat, lazy, ignorant “church.”
(5) Saying “I am Christ” must be kept from meaning, SAYING “Jesus is Christ,” because while they are saying that “Jesus is Christ,” they ARE deceiving many! (Matthew 24:5 and Mark 13:6)
(6) We must be made to think we’re “special” to get us to entertain the thoroughly stupid idea that we should not have to go through the tribulation because “God would not let his special people be persecuted.” (Throughout history, Christians have always been persecuted, as the word of God repeatedly foretold.)
(7) The word “elect” must be perverted to selectively refer to something other than Christians in Matthew 24:22
Matthew 24:21-22 “For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.” [This passage clearly places “the elect” in the tribulation!]
Λ The churches don’t mind using the word “elect” in regard to themselves in other places:
Luke 18:7 “And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them?”
Romans 8:33 “Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God’s elect? It is God that justifieth.” (ditto)
Colossians 3:12 “Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering. . . .” [This is addressed to the church at Colosse, “the saints and faithful brethren in Christ which are at Colosse. . . .” (Colossians 1:2)]
Titus 1:1 “Paul, a servant of God, and an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the faith of God’s elect. . . .”
(8) The time of tribulation is perverted to be “God’s wrath” in order to associate it with 1st Thessalonians 5:9.
1st Thessalonians 5:9 “For God hath not appointed us to wrath. . . .”
[We are certainly not appointed to HIS wrath, “but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ. . . .”
[THE TRIBULATION IS A RESULT OF SATAN’S WRATH.]
(a) The Lord will allow Satan his hour, but
(b) he warned us about it in advance.
Revelation 12:12 “Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath. . . .”
(c) The warning isn’t supposed to terrify us,
Romans 5:1-5 “. . . we glory in tribulations . . . tribulation worketh patience. . . .”
(“No-tribbers” use v. 9 and ignore this.)
(d) and it wouldn’t terrify us if we were spiritual instead of fleshy babies.
Revelation 12:11 “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives
