(1) Know What a Bible IS. [Everything that says “Bible” on the cover ISN’T!] (Sorry, but that’s the world we live in.)
2nd Corinthians 2:17 “For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God. . . .”
[Only the “Authorized” (or “King James”) has this verse intact. ALL of the other so-called “bibles” CORRUPTED it.]
(Those in the business of “revising” the bible for profit are not capable of getting a guilty conscience here, so instead of repenting at their evil, they tried to get rid of the verse that exposed them! God had their number from the beginning:)
Jeremiah 23:36 “. . . for every man’s word shall be his burden; for ye have perverted the words of the living God. . . .”
[Papists, sodomites, atheists, pagans, liberals, and assorted “New Agers” have collaborated to corrupt and destroy biblical doctrine through their numerous “revision committees”, while collecting royalties on their “improved versions.”]
(The King James, unlike EVERY phoney “bible”, was never financially copyrighted. It was “freely given”.)
Matthew 10:8 “. . . freely ye have received, freely give.”
1st Corinthians 2:12 “Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.” (The “Authorized” IS the “received”, and always has been.)
Λ John 17:6-8 “For I have given unto [the men which thou gavest me out of the world] the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them. . . .” (That evil men and phoney Christians REJECT his words, only proves the point!)
(Matthew 7:16 “Ye shall know them by their fruits.)
[You have to be as “wise as a serpent” when obtaining a “bible,” even when it SAYS “King James” on the cover, because there are publishers now producing hybrid “Authorized” versions with doctrinally important verses changed to read as the “New American Standard.” This satanic alteration is typically acknowledged with EXTREMELY TINY PRINT on the cover page. (Sometimes this wicked subterfuge is not acknowledged at all!) If you do not actually “study” God’s word, and are not intent upon sound doctrine, you would not notice the difference.]
(There is a war going on, whether you like it or not.)
Definition of Bible: “All of God’s written word in one place with a cover on it.”
(There are 66 books in the bible: 39 in the old testament and 27 in the new.)
Know What a Bible Is Not, for example:
(A) Any text coming before Genesis 1:1, after Revelation 22:21, before the chapters, between the columns, at the top and bottom of the pages, and between the old and new testaments is not scripture. (Your printing may contain self-justifying mumbo jumbo at the back as to “Why we celebrate Christmas”, “Why we celebrate Easter”, or “Why we celebrate the sabbath on Sunday,” but these are anti-scripture. – Proverbs 17:15)
(B) Scofield’s rantings in support of “pre-trib rapture” which he included IN THE TEXT: The so-called “Scofield Bible” is flagrantly NOT a bible.
(B) “The New King James Bible” is NOT a “bible,” is not a “King James,” and is not “new”. (It is not even “The.”)
(Ecclesiastes 1:9 “. . . there is no new thing under the sun.”) (Satan has tried this “new” thing before.)
(C) “The Originals” are not what you’re looking for. [God could not care less about the originals.]
(1) Exodus 31:18; 32:15; v. 19; 34:1; v. 4; v. 27
(2) Jeremiah 36 “(all); 51:60-63
(3) Compare Deuteronomy 8:3 [“word” is in italics] with Matthew 4:4 [where “word” is not in italics].
(D) “the original Greek” There is no such thing on the face of the earth, so when the hypocrite tries to razzle dazzle you by suggesting he is going to consult “the original Greek” so he can know what the bible “REALLY says”, he is plainly showing how ignorant or dishonest he is. (There are MANY different Greek texts, NONE of them are “ORIGINAL,” and none of them are the same. Further, “the original” is not important with God anyway, and never was: that gaff is Satan’s ploy.)
(E) “original plenary autographs” This is a slick sounding contradiction in terms. “Plenary” means “complete”, and of course there never was any such thing on earth as “original” AND “complete” scripture. The bible was given by God over a great period of time: the “originals” of early books rotted to dust long before the latter books were written. When the religious “professional” claims belief in “the original plenary autographs” he is as crooked as a three dollar federal reserve note. It is the “words” (Psalm 12:6-7) that God preserved, not the “originals.”
(F) “reliable translations” When they say “Well, no translation is perfect, but at least they’re reliable”, they speak the words of Satan the devil. None of these deceiving hypocrites agrees on which of these outrageous imitation “bibles” are NOT reliable”. Further, they are found liars because the bible IS “perfect”:
Proverbs 30:5-6 “Every word of God is pure. . . . Add thou not unto his words, lest . . . thou be found a liar.”
James 1:17-18 “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above. . . . Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.”
Λ Psalm 12:6-7 “The words of the Lord are pure . . . thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.”
(1.) If you do NOT believe the Lord’s “words” are preserved “for ever”, then you make Him out to be a liar.)
(That is too bad for you: “. . .let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written. . . .” — Romans 3:4)
Λ (2.) If you DO believe the Lord’s “words” are preserved “for ever”, then your only task is to FIND them!)
(G) “a book that I use” You can’t “use” God’s word: you can let IT use YOU: you can read it, study it, believe it, and preach from it, but don’t for one minute imagine that you are CAPABLE of “using” it.
(The snake oil salesmen who tear down the Authorized bible and then tell you they “USE it”, simply do not BELIEVE it, and those who are deceived by them learn to talk the same way!)
(H) “preferred translations” (The real question is, “preferred” BY WHOM?”; preferred by Satan the devil, or preferred by somebody working for Satan the devil?)
Psalm 119:140 “Thy word is very pure: therefore thy servant loveth it.” [So, you “have a problem with it.”?]
“Well, I don’t like all the ‘thee’s’ and ‘thou’s’!
Λ [Well, Sir, the “thee’s and thou’s” are there for a reason: both Greek and Hebrew have in common that they use a different word for second person singular and second person plural; which in modern American English is “you” in either case.)
In the bible, “Thee,” “Thou,” “Thy,” and “Thine” are each singular. (Each starts with a “t”.)
“Ye” and “You” are both plural. (Each starts with a “y”.)
(Examples: see Revelation 2:10; Luke 22:31-32; John 3:8-12)
[Those who are deceived invariably claim that they object to the “thee’s and thou’s” because such words are “just Elizabethan English.” The fact is, that in 1611, the word “you” was in common use, as can be observed by the use of “you” in the dedicatory in the Authorized. The majesty, richness, and flavor of the biblical text as preserved in the Authorized bible, as wonderful as it truly is, is not the issue here. The “thee’s and thou’s,” as the words are used in the Authorized text, provide a clear grammatical distinction between the subject and object, and between singular and plural.]
“Thou” is the nominative case (used as the subject) for the second person singular.
“Thee” is objective case (used as the object) for the second person singular.
“Ye” is nominative for the second person plural.
“You” is objective for the second person plural.
Singular Plural
KJB NIV KJB NIV
Nominative thou you ye you
Objective thee you you you
Possessive Adjective thy your your your
Possessive Pronoun thine yours yours yours
(This information is lost forever in the other so-called “versions,” whose purpose from the beginning was to remove and destroy sound doctrine from God’s word.)
“I like to read it from “the Greek’ so I can know what it REALLY says.”
Nicolaitan Pride has wrecked you. In wanting to raise yourself up as part of an exclusive club, the Lord has made you blind and put you down.
Instead of trembling at the word of God, you grovel at the feet of godless “higher criticism,” which, for its part, has invented its own twisted rules of scholarship intentionally to get rid of belief in the bible.
The word of God went out in many languages following Pentecost: why do you assume that “Greek” has a halo around it, and why would you want to eliminate all the other languages in your ignorant quest for “what the bible really says”?
Greek is a very IMPRECISE language with an extremely SMALL vocabulary, so that translating from Greek into English (without benefit of other language evidence) requires a great deal of “guesswork.”
(A) It is ridiculous to say, “according to ‘the Greek’ it should say. . . .”
(B) This issue is entirely dependent upon someone’s OPINION about what “the Greek says.”
(C) Whose OPINION do you wish to accept, and for what version of “the Greek?”
(D) The big problem NOW is that you have made yourself the authority, not the bible.
(E) Now that you made your “selection,” you have walked into a swamp.
(F) Translating from Greek into English is:
(1) overwhelmingly difficult and tenuous when the translator knows the inherent limitations and his intentions are pure, but this task is
(2) quite easy if he is evil and his motive is simply to contradict God’s word:
[He just “translates the Greek” as the mood strikes him according to his own personal bias, while the suckers worship the ground he walks on.]
Why is it that you think you can NOT trust the Authorized text, yet you ASSUME that you CAN trust a text in a dead language produced by apostates and reprobates who hate the Lord AND his word; and who, in some cases, translated their “Greek text” by simply reverse engineering from the King James English back into “Greek,” making wholesale doctrinal changes where it suited their agenda?
You can spend the rest of your life “learning Greek” and you won’t have as much knowledge of it in your head as just one of the King James translators had in his little finger.
If you dedicated your entire life to translating the bible “from the Greek”. . .
(A) you will not live long enough to even begin the job, even if you had the necessary material;
(B) the job has already been done, making all your work entirely irrelevant; and
(C) just who do you think you are, anyway?
“The NIV is easier to understand.”
Grimm’s Fairy Tales is easier to understand, but what’s the point?
IT ISN’T TRUE! (and it isn’t the word of God!)
The scientific fact is that the Authorized is provably easier to read, understand, and memorize than all of the versions.
“What about all those sincere people who love God, and love his word, but don’t use the Authorized?”
How can these hypothetical people “love” what they don’t have? and
Why is it that they don’t want it when it’s given to them?
“Don’t all the ‘versions’ contain the basics?”
ANSWER: NO! Not even close!
Matthew 23:14 is missing in the NIV. (to protect the whore of Revelation)
In Isaiah 7:14 “virgin” is changed to “young woman of marriageable age” (removing the prophecy and its power). What kind of a “SIGN” is it, that a young woman of marriageable age” will have a baby???? [This is the kind of slop that “Christians” are looking for now.]
Revelation 22:14 is corrupted (or removed) in all of the “versions” in order to get rid of the “commandments” which are not in vogue among apostate “churches.”
(There are thousands of these intentional corruptions that I am not going to list here.)
QUESTION: Why would God allow Satanic corruptions of the truth to exist?
ANSWER: For the same reason the Lord allows “false prophets” to exist.
(See: Deuteronomy 13:1-3 “. . . for the Lord your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul.”)
Λ 2nd Timothy 3:15 “. . . from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures. . . .” (Not “the original plenary autographs”!)
(A) When Paul wrote this to Timothy, the “originals” no longer existed, but Timothy still KNEW “the holy scriptures”. The hypocrites behind the pulpits have been taught by their seminary professors to publicly claim belief in something they have never seen (never will see and never can see), to fool the naive babes in the congregation, systematically wrecking their faith in the bible. This diabolically wicked work within “the churches” (Matthew 10:16 & Acts 20:29) is Satan’s greatest accomplishment. (“Religion” has always been the enemy of Christ.)
(B) The word “scripture” (in one of its forms) is used 53 times in the bible and every time refers to COPIES held by the people, and never to any “originals” or “original plenary autographs” kept on a shelf by “higher critics.”
(2) Ask the Lord Jesus to Help You, Because You Can Not Understand the Bible by Your Own Power.
John 15:16 “. . . whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.”
v. 5 “. . . for without me ye can do nothing.”
16:13 “. . . when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth. . . .”
1st Corinthians 3:1-3 [A man refuses the truth when he is not led by the “Spirit of truth”! He is “carnal”.]
14:26-40 [The Laodicean “churches” are presently filled with hypocrites who go to great lengths pretending they’re “spiritual,” while blissfully ignoring what is written.]
John 14:23 “If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.” (That is, “born again”.)
(So, you say “your church” has twelve thousand spirit filled members who couldn’t care less what the bible says?)
1st Corinthians 2:11 “For . . . the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.”
v. 14 “But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.”
John 3:1-7 “Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.” (See: Zechariah 4:6)
4:23-24 “But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.”
(It is presently fashionable in the so-called “churches” to fake the “spirit” and ignore the “truth”.)
(3) Read the Bible As the word of God. (No man gives his life to the authority of the bible if he does not believe this.)
This involves two things:
(A) YOUR NATURE, which includes (1) your capacity for faith, (2) how easily you can be turned aside, and (3) how you position yourself with respect to God’s word (OVER it, or UNDER it).
(1) Hebrews 11:6 “. . . without faith it is impossible to please him. . . .”
(2) James 1:8 “A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.”
(3) Psalm 119:161 “Princes have persecuted me without a cause: but my heart standeth in awe of thy word.”
(B) THE NATURE OF THE WORD of God, which is a living book.
(1) Hebrews 4:12 “For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”
(For definition of “quick”, see Acts 10:42; 2nd Timothy 4:1; & 1st Peter 4:5)
[ The new testament uses this word exactly 4 times.]
(2) God’s word is rightly personified as though it had LIFE, in and of itself.
(This does not mean something is mistranslated.)
Romans 9:17 “For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this same purpose have I raised thee up. . . .”
Galatians 3:8 “And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham. . . .”
(3) The word of God brings life to those who love it.
Psalm 119:50 “This is my comfort in my affliction: for thy word hath quickened me.”
(4) The word of God puts you in fellowship with the right kind of people.
Psalm 119:74 “They that fear thee will be glad when they see me; because I have hoped in thy word.”
(4) Believe It When You Read It. (This naturally follows from section (3) above, unless you’re insane!)
Galatians 3:6 “. . . Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.”
1st Thessalonians 2:13 “For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe.”
2nd Thessalonians 2:13 “. . . God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth. . . .” (If you’re having trouble with this, get down on your knees right now and find eternal life.)
(5) Take the Bible as the Authority for Your Life above Everything Else. Your “priest”, “pastor”, “reverend”, “minister”, “elder”, guru, lodge leader, politician, newsman, etc. is not your doctrinal authority, even if he tells you otherwise. Further, if he went to any kind of “divinity school” or seminary, or he is “licensed”, or the “church” is “incorporated” (501(c)3 exempt with the federal government), he is likely not a servant of God at all, but an agent of the state, and serving the interests of Satan. (The American federal government presently regulates what can be taught or preached by their established “Christian churches”, ultimately destroying all which do not cooperate with its “New Age, Catholic, One World Government” agenda, and, whether you know it or not, you will eventually have to decide where you will put your loyalty and trust.)
Hebrews 11:1-16 “But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city.” (So, you say you’re a “patriotic” American?)
James 4:4 “. . . whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.”
(You say your pastor never says anything bad about the United Nations? Who do you suppose he is working for?)
Ephesians 2:19 “Now therefore ye are . . . fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God. . . .”
(You say your loyalty is to the family and religion you were born into?) (See: Matthew 10:37 and Luke 16:13)
1st Corinthians 4:6 “. . . that ye might learn in us not to think of men above that which is written. . . .”
(You say your priest told you that only “the church” has authority to determine doctrine?)
Psalm 56:4 “In God I will praise his word, in God I have put my trust. . . .” (You say you put your trust in your church?)
2nd Samuel 22:31 “As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the Lord is tried . . . to all them that trust in him.”
(6) Be Willing to Give up Your Opinions. (This is obvious, unless you were born with the wisdom of God in you already.)
Proverbs 14:12 “There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.”
3:5 “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.”
Acts 17:11 “These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.” (How much searching have you been doing?)
(7) Be Willing to Receive a Correction in the Light of the Bible and Leading of the Holy Spirit.
Proverbs 15:31-32 “He that refuseth instruction despiseth his own soul: but he that heareth reproof getteth understanding. The fear of the Lord is the instruction of wisdom; and before honour is humility.”
15:10 “Correction is grievous unto him that forsaketh the way: and he that hateth reproof shall die.”
19:20 “Hear counsel, and receive instruction, that thou mayest be wise in thy latter end.”
25:12 “As an earring of gold, and an ornament of fine gold, so is a wise reprover upon an obedient ear.”
[Don’t be shocked when you find out that the bible is against you.]
Jeremiah 36:1-3 “Take thee a roll of a book, and write therein all the words that I have spoken unto thee against Israel, and against Judah, and against all the nations. . . .”
(8) Be Patient and Wait on the Lord for Understanding in Things That May Presently Be Too Difficult to Understand.
Isaiah 28:9-10 “Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts. For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little. . . .”
Psalm 37:1-5 “Fret not thyself . . . . Commit thy way unto the Lord . . . and he shall bring it to pass.”
Proverbs 9:10 “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.”
Luke 8:15 “. . . [H]aving heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.”
Galatians 6:3 “For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself.”
(9) Beware the Opinions of People in the Religious Business, (Professionals).
Matthew 10:16 “Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents. . . .”
John 19:10-15 “The chief priests answered, We have no king but Caesar.”
Matthew 15:1-14 “. . . they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.”
Psalm 55:21 “The words of his mouth were smoother than butter, but war was in his heart: his words were softer than oil, yet were they drawn swords.”
Isaiah 3:12 “O my people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths.”
EXAMPLE: They start by saying the Old Testament is done away with, and then, for example, on tithing, they ignore the doctrine given on tithing in the NEW testament and go to Malachi 3:7-9, before the church even existed, trying to prove that if a man doesn’t tithe TO THE CHURCH he’s “robbing God”, which reference has NOTHING to do with the church.
(There are two references to tithing in the new testament, contained in Hebrews 7 and Matthew 23:23, that the money “ministers” did not want you to read (which is why they have to go to the old testament on tithing). The Matthew reference was spoken to the “scribes and Pharisees” whom the Lord therein called “hypocrites”, making it difficult for present day hypocrites to pretend this verse applies; and, further, Hebrews straightly disannuls tithing altogether:)
Λ Hebrews 7:5,18 “For there is verily a disannulling of the commandment [to take tithes of the people] going before for the weakness and unprofitableness thereof.”
(God instituted tithing to support the priest tribe of Levi, which had no land and depended solely upon the other tribes to whom God gave land. God took away this support when the “priesthood” ceased to be of Levi!)
Hebrews 7:12 “For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law.”
(The priesthood is now in Christ himself, (vs. 23-28) not Levi, and preachers of the gospel are NOT a separate priest class to be supported by tithing.)
EXAMPLE: On Women Keeping Silence in the Church, they pander to the “women’s libbers” by strategically ignoring the doctrinal verses in the new testament given to the church on this subject such as:
1st Timothy 2:9-14 “But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man. . . .”
Yet, as surely as a drunk will find a bottle, they leap back to Judges 4 & 5 while suggesting that the prophetess, Deborah, “must surely” have taken on “various church responsibilities, in addition to prophesying,” to justify the effeminate men and politically correct butch female “tithers” who are running the “church.” [The name of this game is “Keep the people stupid and maintain the cash flow!” while Satan manipulates the “weaker vessels” and controls the “churches.”]
(1st Timothy 6:10 “For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.”
(Isaiah 3:12 “As for my people, children are their oppressors [gangs], and women rule over them.” (EXACTLY!)
(Satan wants women running the home, the government, and the “churches” for the same reason he wanted Eve in control over Adam: so that he could destroy both Adam and Eve!)
QUESTIONS:
(A) Why do you go to “Deborah” in the old testament, when you tell us the old testament is “done away with”?
(B) Why is a CONCLUSION on a historical account ABOUT ISRAEL in the old testament more authoritative for church doctrine on this subject than doctrinal instructions TO THE CHURCH in the new testament?
(C) Why is this EXCEPTION for Israel, when it was at a low point, more appropriate to CHURCH structure than the instructions given to the church on church structure, when the church was at its high point?
[The “libbers” are so intent to promote their agenda that they entirely missed the point of the biblical pattern here:]
EXAMPLE: Judges 4:1-9 “. . . for the Lord shall sell Sisera into the hand of a woman.” God, in his wisdom, let Jael kill Sisera because the “man” who should have done it was a coward and rejected God’s word. The use of the woman was powerful because it is an exception to the rule. (There is no doctrine here that our women are supposed to join the army.)
(The doctrine on that is contained in Titus 2:1-5 “. . . [T]each the young women to be . . . keepers at home. . . .”)
EXAMPLE: In 1st Samuel 17:10, Goliath said, “I defy the armies of Israel this day; give me a man, that we may fight. . . .”
God answered this challenge by sending a BOY to destroy the giant, but the point here is NOT that God wants boys to pastor the churches.
(The doctrine on that matter is contained in Timothy 3:1-12 “Not a novice, lest being lifted up with pride he fall. . . .”)
THE SUM OF THE MATTER:
Λ “EXCEPTIONS” Show God’s Power and Prove or Emphasize a Point. (“The exception proves the rule.”)
EXAMPLE: The sun moves east to west, but in Joshua 10:13, God caused it to stand still and, in Isaiah 38:8, He made it go backward; yet, neither of these facts indicates the general law of the matter.
EXAMPLE: Exodus 32:19 “Moses’ anger waxed hot, and he cast the tables out of his hands, and brake them. . . .” It is here well emphasized to the children of Israel that they had sinned because; “Moses was very meek, above all the men which were upon the face of the earth” (Numbers 12:3) and breaking things was NOT his usual routine.
Λ “DOCTRINE” Instructs Concerning the General Case. (The exceptions notwithstanding!)
EXAMPLE: 1st Timothy 2:11-12 “But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.” (This is the doctrine given on that matter.)
A woman who usurps authority over the man in the church will always wrest scripture (going back “to look at Deborah”) when, of course, scripture was never the issue anyway. “Interpreting scripture” was never the issue. (“Women’s lib” is only about POWER: when Satan gives the woman more of it, then the man will have less of it. “Women’s lib” pretends to offer “liberation,” but will only bring bondage of both men and women to Satan.)
(2nd Peter 2:19-22 “While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption. . . .”)
EXAMPLE: John 14:15 “If ye love me, keep my commandments.” and
John 15:10 “If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.”
Hebrews 7:18 is NOT a doctrine about “the commandments” at all. (See v. 5)
(10) Do Not Gravitate to Verses Which Are Vague in Implication, or Require Personal Conclusion, in Order to Form a Doctrine Contrary to Verses Which Are Clearly Connected to That Doctrine, and Do Not Require Conclusions.
(This may seem obvious yet the “churches” make liberal use of the contrary method to justify their corrupt doctrine.)
The “churches” that believe in baptizing babies, justify themselves in this error by running to Acts 16:33 concerning the conversion and baptism of the jailer where they pretend that “all his” includes babies, and is doctrinally governing on the subject of “who may be baptized”. The argument runs something like this: “Well, surely there were some babies in the jailer’s family, so if HE baptized HIS babies, what’s wrong if we do it?”
Acts 16:33 describes “HOW” to respond to the preaching of the gospel, NOT WHO can respond.
Acts 8:36-37 [Defines “WHO” can be baptized.] “And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized? And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest.”
(There is nothing funnier or more tragic than a Lutheran, Catholic, Presbyterian, or Methodist “minister” explaining how a newly born infant can believe on Jesus Christ with all his heart.)
EXAMPLE: Having lived in adultery most of your life, you ignore Exodus 20:14 and point out that King David was loved by God, and David committed adultery with Uriah the Hittite’s wife. Your conclusion is, “Adultery is not really so bad.” It does not occur to you that this great evil which David did was used by God to show the power and faithfulness of his mercy (1st Chronicles 16:34), and it is irrelevant to you that God was infuriated by David’s deed and pronounced against him a horrible punishment (2nd Samuel 12:7-12), and that God did not forget this sin (1st Kings 15:5).
(11) Do Not Use Worldly Definitions for Words Where the Bible Provides its Own Definitions. (As it does in nearly all cases.)
Catholicism defines “Mary” as “the mother of us all” (when the bible gives her no such title at all).
(A) “Jerusalem which is above” is “the mother of us all” (all who are saved). (Galatians 4:26 & Revelation 3:12)
(B) “Eve” is “the mother of all living”. (“all”, that is, concerning the flesh.) (Genesis 3:20)
Catholicism defines “Mary” as “The queen of heaven” (when the bible gives her no such title at all.)
(A) God hates the queen of heaven. (Jeremiah 7:18; 44:15-22)
(B) It is the heathen who desire to worship a goddess figure, and who have always done so. (Acts 19:23-28)
[(By referring to “Mary” in these ancient pagan ways Catholicism gives scriptural color to the pagan worship of her goddess (Isaiah 42:8) but it is Satan who gets his glory through deceiving men into idolatry.
The verb “let” has several and opposite meanings; for example: the commonly understood “allow” on the one hand as opposed to “hinder”, “obstruct”, or “prevent” on the other hand. (While it is true that Webster’s Unabridged Dictionary provides this less frequently used definition; more importantly, the Bible provides its own definition and is a sure word of testimony on the subject.)
(A) Exodus 5:4 “Wherefore do ye, Moses and Aaron, let the people from their works?”
(“let” here clearly means: “hinder”, “obstruct”, or “prevent”)
(B) 2nd Thessalonians 2:7 “. . . only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.”
(The Holy Spirit is in the way of the spirit of antichrist and hinders, obstructs, and prevents Satan’s efforts.)
(12) Read the Word of God As it Is, and Where it Is, For the Purpose it Was Given. (Don’t impose your rules on the bible.)
[Patterns and themes are used in the bible, and you cannot ignore them.]
(A) There are conventions in . . .
(1) punctuation
Quotation marks are not used. A form of the word, “said” (which may or may not be followed by additional modifying words) is followed by a comma and then by a word capitalized, which begins the quote.
Matthew 2:8 “And he sent them to Bethlehem, and said, Go and search diligently for the young child; and when ye have found him, bring me word again, that I may come and worship him also.”
3:7 “But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?”
(2) capitalization
The term, “Word of life”, refers to the Lord. [1st John 1:1]
The term, “word of life”, refers to God’s “words.” [Philippians 2:16]
The term, “Word of God, refers to the Lord. [Revelation 19:13]
The term, “word of God”, refers to God’s “words.” [Mark 7:13; Luke 5:1; 8:11,21]
[Many authors erroneously capitalize “word” when referring to the bible, thinking they show respect for it.]
(B) The exact words matter.
“The God of the whole earth” (Isaiah 54:5) is a reference to Jesus Christ.
“the god of this world” (2nd Corinthians 4:4) is a reference to Satan.
(C) Words may be used as either (1) Absolute, or (2) Relative.
(1) Matthew 19:16-17 “Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God. . . .”
(The man did not believe that the Lord was God, making Jesus a “good” liar.) (See: 1st Kings 8:60)
(2) Psalm 37:23 “The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way.”
[You will think Psalm 37:23 contradicts Matthew 19:17 if you don’t understand what we’re dealing with here.]
(1) Romans 3:10 “As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one. . . .”
(2) Ezekiel 16:52 “. . . they are more righteous than thou. . . .”
(D) Repetition is used as a means of defining and identifying persons, concepts, and authorities. Ignoring this truth will lead to ridiculous and Satanic doctrine.
Psalm 14:7 & 53:6 “. . . Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.” (These are not two happy people! There is repetition here, using different words which are synonymous. The same thing is stated twice.)
Genesis 35:10 & 32:27-28 “. . . Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel. . . .” (“Jacob” IS “Israel”.)
When the pattern is revealed to the reader and understood, then new understanding follows as in:
(1) Psalm 78:21 “. . . so a fire was kindled against Jacob, and anger also came up against Israel. . . .”
[“fire” kindled by God is identified with God’s “anger”.]
(2) Psalm 78:5 “For he established a testimony in Jacob, and appointed a law in Israel. . . .”
[They are equal in both cases. Having “established a testimony” is the same as having “appointed a law”.]
(3) Psalm 81:4 “For this was a statute for Israel, and a law of the God of Jacob.”
(4) Psalm 147:19-20 “He sheweth his word unto Jacob, his statutes and his judgments unto Israel.”
(5) Psalm 78:70-71 “. . . he brought him to feed Jacob his people, and Israel his inheritance.”
[The Lord’s “people” ARE his “inheritance”.]
(6) Psalm 105:23 “Israel also came into Egypt; and Jacob sojourned in the land of Ham.”
[“Egypt” IS “the land of Ham”.] (Ham ∍ “warm”)
(Genesis 9:18 “. . . Ham is the father of Canaan.”) [The Canaanites are really Egyptians at their roots.]
(7) Psalm 114:1 “When Israel went out of Egypt, the house of Jacob from a people of strange language. . . .”
[You are told that the Egyptians have a strange language.]
(E) When the bible asks a question, it is not because the issue involves any doubt. The answer is always certain and everybody knows the answer.
Genesis 3:9 “And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou?”
[The Lord knows exactly where Adam is; hiding “amongst the trees of the garden” wearing a fig leaf apron.
(F) The bible is usually literal, frequently figurative, and occasionally sarcastic. Strive to read it the way it is written.
(1) A verse and its words may be purely literal and scientifically precise.
Job 26:7 “ He stretcheth out the north over the empty place, and hangeth the earth upon nothing.”
[Many generations “in the church” assumed this verse to be meaningless and “unscientific,” because “science” (1st Timothy 6:20) taught that the earth was supported by “Atlas”, or “by elephants who in turn were further supported upon a great tortoise which swam through the ether”, etc.]
(Science took 4,000 years to catch up to the biblically given fact that the earth indeed hangs upon “nothing”.)
Revelation 16:2 [The “mark of the beast” is physical and literal, just like the “lake of fire” into which those who take that mark will be thrown. This was once common knowledge in America, but “the mark of the beast” has been redefined as anything else which can be imagined by man. Adventists, for example, led on by Ellen White, erroneously take this verse as symbolic, and spiritualized the mark as “going to church on Sunday.” Satan has in this manner taken away God’s warning to many of the “churches.”]
(2) A verse can be factual, but may nonetheless use its words symbolically to convey the facts.
Revelation 6:13 “And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth. . . .”
[The “heaven” referred to here is the “kingdom of heaven”, which Paul referred to in 2nd Corinthians 12:2, as “the third heaven” (distinguished from the first and second heavens which are (1) the arch or vault of the sky (given in Genesis 1:8 as the “firmament”) and (2) the universe.]
[The word “star” is frequently used as a figurative or cryptic word for an ANGEL:]
Job 38:7 “When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?”
Revelation 1:20 “The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches. . . .” (a definition)
12:4 “And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven. . . .” (the angels that Satan deceived)
9:1 “I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit.”
[This “star” which falls from heaven, as before, is an angel, and not a celestial body.]
John 10:7 [The Lord referred to himself as “the door”; however he is not a three foot by six foot eight inch slab of oak with a knob and hinges, but he absolutely is “the door” for the sheep, figuratively speaking.]
John 6:53 “Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.”
[This Catholic proof text for the need of “transubstantiation” at the “mass” is cunningly taken literally by papists and followers of priest craft, who are willing to make their ancient black arts appear scriptural.]
(a) The “life” referred to is clearly SPIRITUAL life and not physical life as proved by the fact that the men to whom this is spoken are not physically dead when this is said (and they never made it to “mass”!)
Λ [There is physical death and there is spiritual death: they are not the same and cannot be confused.]
Genesis 2:17 “But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.” (They did NOT die physically that day: they died spiritually.)
(b) The part which is in question here is also spiritual and figurative as proven by the language which follows in John 6:58, “. . . not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead. . . .” (That is, NOT by mouth.)
(c) (In the bible, “something to eat” is not necessarily a thing that goes into your mouth:)
John 4:31-34 “I have meat to eat that ye know not of.” (See: v. 8)
Matthew 15:17 “Do not ye yet understand, that whatsoever entereth in at the mouth goeth into the belly, and is cast out into the draught?”
Λ (d) John 6:63 “It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.” (If a priest COULD produce Christ’s “literal flesh” it would profit “nothing”.)
(e) The bible repeatedly forbids the consumption of blood, which makes the literal drinking of the Lord’s blood a doctrinal contradiction, even if a priest could produce it (and he cannot):
Acts 15:20 “. . . [W]e write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols. . . and from blood.”
(13) Rightly Divide the Word.
2nd Timothy 2:15 “Study to shew thyself approved unto God . . . rightly dividing the word of truth.”
EXAMPLE: Matthew 5:17-19 The Commandments are NOT “done away with” (but)
Ephesians 2:15 The ordinances ARE done away with.
1st Corinthians 7:19 “Circumcision is nothing, and uncircumcision is nothing, but the keeping of the commandments of God.”
Determine the “Present Truth” of the Matter When Rightly Dividing.
2nd Peter 1:10-12 “. . . and be established in the present truth.”
EXAMPLE: The truth of the much debated eating of meats depends entirely on whether THE TIME of the scripture was:
[1] in the garden before the fall [No meats are eaten.] (Genesis 1:29-30);
[2] after the fall [All meats are eaten.] (Genesis 9:1-3);
[3] for Israel when she was separated from the gentiles [Only clean meats are eaten.] (Leviticus ch. 11);
[4] for the church [All meats are eaten.] (Acts chapters 10-11, Matthew 15:10-11, 1st Corinthians 10:25-27); or
[5] for the “new earth” during the “thousand years” [Where it will be again as it was in Eden: there will be no death and no meats will be eaten.] (Revelation 21:1-4, Isaiah 65:17-25).
(14) Make Certain You Know the Context of a Verse Before “Using” it for Doctrine.
EXAMPLE: In Leviticus 24:20 it is written, “eye for eye, tooth for tooth: as he hath caused a blemish in a man, so shall it be done to him again.” which appears to ignorant men to conflict with the Lord in Matthew 5:39, “But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.”
[The first case is the judgment of God delivered to the judges of the nation of Israel instructing them to “judge righteous judgment”, so that there would be justice. The second case, (for a Christian man), is how to personally react to injustice, being in the image of Christ. These are two utterly different contexts and there is no “contradiction”.
EXAMPLE: Whereas there are in the bible a few seemingly contradictory passages spanned by great time, it is easy for atheists and other assorted critics of the bible to assume that alleged “contradictions” are the result of human mistake. In many places in the bible, however, apparent contradictions take place from one verse to the next, and here the servant of the Lord can see that the bible, written for all men under many circumstances, appropriately takes into account more than one context, in ways where it cannot be argued that it was “by accident,” such as:
Proverbs 26:4 “Answer not a fool according to his folly, lest thou also be like unto him.”
Proverbs 26:5 “Answer a fool according to his folly, lest he be wise in his own conceit.” (Both are true!)
[Your doctrine in this matter will depend entirely upon the exact nature of the context you find yourself in.]
EXAMPLE: In the book of Job the overwhelmingly significant question, when referencing a verse is “Who is doing the talking?” When Eliphaz, Bildad, or Zophar are talking you should “take it with a grain of salt”. Although it is entirely true that they said it, WHAT THEY SAID is not necessarily true. (See Job 42:7.)
EXAMPLE: When God speaks, keep your mind open as TO WHOM God is speaking. For example, in Isaiah 14:4-17, the prophet is seemingly talking to the King of Babylon, but more importantly God is talking directly to Satan who possesses that king and is the power behind his “seat”; as in Ezekiel 28:1-17 where God, while seemingly talking to the King of Tyrus, is again speaking directly to Satan, addressing him as, “O covering cherub”. This truth must be perceived spiritually from knowledge of previous doctrine, however, because it is not directly stated as such in the text.
EXAMPLE: In Galatians 3:27-29, (a women’s lib “proof” text) “there is neither male nor female” does not indicate “uni-sex”, or unimportance of sex, or alteration of any doctrine given previously or afterward concerning sex! THE CONTEXT of the passage concerns the promise of salvation to those that “have put on Christ”, so that with respect to being “heirs according to the promise”, whether you are male or female is not the issue.
[It is said, “A proof text without a context is a pretext.”]
(15) Act on the Truth When You Find it. [If you do not, why would you think the Lord would show you more truth?]
Proverbs 23:23 “Buy the truth, and sell it not. . . .” (If you were going to sell it, how much should it go for?)
John 15:14 “Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.”
Galatians 3:1 “O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth. . . .”
(If you do NOT “obey the truth” when you find it, you simply prove that you are not in love with it!)
2nd Thessalonians 2:8-11 “. . . because they received not the love of the truth . . . God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie. . . .” [Friend, do not go this way.]
[Those who wrest the scripture to avoid having to obey it, do so “unto their own destruction.”] (2nd Peter 3:14-16)
(16) Be Thankful to God When He Opens Your Eyes and Give Him Glory for It.
PROBLEM: “Knowledge puffeth up. . . .” (1st Corinthians 8:1)
Romans 11:22-25 “For I would not, brethren, that . . . ye should be wise in your own conceits. . . .”
Colossians 3:17 “And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.”
1st Corinthians 1:26-31 “But God hath chosen the foolish things . . . that no flesh should glory in his presence.”
(17) Read the Bible Often and Keep It Firmly In Your Heart and Mind.
Matthew 4:1-4 “But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.”
Acts 17:11 “These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily. . . .”
1st Timothy 4:16 “Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.”
2nd Timothy 2:15 “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”
Amos 8:11-12 “And they . . . shall run to and fro to seek the word of the Lord, and shall not find it.”
