v. 5 “And they called unto Lot, and said unto him, Where are the men which came into thee this night?”

vs. 10, 12, 15, 16 [The terms, “the men” and “the angels” refer to the same two beings. The angels appear as men.]

Judges 13:3-11 “And the angel of the Lord appeared. . . . And the woman . . . said . . . the man hath appeared. . . .”

vs. 15-16 “For Manoah knew not that he [the man] was an angel of the Lord.”

Luke 24:4 “. . . two men stood by them in shining garments. . . .”

Hebrews 13:2 “. . . thereby some have entertained angels unawares.”

They Are Immortal

Luke 20:35-36 “. . . neither can they die any more: for they are equal unto the angels. . . .”

How Many Are There?

Angels are Called “Stars” (and other things)

Revelation 1:16 “And he had in his right hand seven stars. . . .”

v. 20 “The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches. . . .”

3:1 “the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars”

8:10-11 “. . . and there fell a great star from heaven . . . And the name of the star is called Wormwood. . . .”

9:1-2 “I saw a star fall from heaven . . . and to him was given the key. . . . And he opened the bottomless pit. . . .”

Matthew 24:29 “. . . the stars shall fall from heaven. . . .” (This is not a “meteor shower” or astronomical event!)

Not All Angels Are “Good”

Psalms 78:49 “He cast upon them the fierceness of his anger . . . by sending evil angels among them.”

The Lord Speaks Through His Angels (This is important to understand!)

No Angels Should Be Worshipped

Colossians 2:18 “Let no man beguile you of your reward in . . . worshipping of angels . . . .”

Angels of God Will Not Be Worshipped
