“I, who am in darkness, come seeking the light.” [This is said by the man who seeks to be a mason, in order to be admitted into the lodge.]
12:46 “I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.”
John 8:12 “Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.”
1:1-5 “In him was life; and the life was the light of men.”
v. 9 “That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.”
Luke 11:35 “Take heed therefore that the light which is in thee be not darkness.”
John 3:19-21 “And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.”
1st Thessalonians 5:5 “Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.”
1st Peter 2:9 “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light. . . .”
Some of the lodges claim to be a Christian form of religion; yet the facts are:
1.) The measure of acceptability for entering the lodge is NOT to “believe on Jesus Christ,” but that you must “believe in a god,” in other words, as claimed, you cannot be an atheist. (No Satan worshipper is an atheist.)
2nd Corinthians 4:3-6 “But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: in whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus’ sake. For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.”
11:13-14 “For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.”
2.) The name of Jesus Christ is forbidden to be used in the lodge. (“That would be unfair to those of other religions.”)
Matthew 10:33 “But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.”
11:6 “And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me.”
John 10:1 “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.”
3.) All manner of religions are accepted in the lodges, and no man is excluded on the basis of his religion.
2nd Corinthians 6:14 “Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?”
4.) To the members of the 33o ( and in some cases lower degrees), the god of the lodge is acknowledged to be “Lucifer.”
Ezekiel 8:all (9-16) “Then said he unto me, Son of man, hast thou seen what the ancients of the house of Israel do in the dark, every man in the chambers of his imagery? for they say, The LORD seeth us not. . . . Then he brought me to the door of the gate of the LORD’s house which was toward the north; and, behold, there sat women weeping for Tammuz.”
