1st John 3:22-24 [Believing on the Lord is connected with loving one another and keeping his commandments.]

5:2-3 “By this we know that we love the children of God, when we . . . keep his commandments.”

[This truth might not be immediately obvious, but think of your reaction when one of the church members claims that when he committed adultery, it didn’t have anything to do with his lack of love for the brethren.]

QUESTION: Does this mean people in a wheel chair?

1st Peter 3:7 “the wife . . . the weaker vessel” (Yet even some of the men fall in this category!)

Matthew 18:15 “Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother.”

vs. 21-35 “So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses.”

Galatians 5:13 “. . . use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.”

Hebrews 10:24-25 “. . . provoke unto love and to good works . . . exhorting one another. . . .”

[The love of God in us, provokes those around us to the same mind (or drives them away because they’re sick of hearing it.)]

Galatians 6:1 “Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.” [What does that mean?]

vs. 2-10 [Verse 2 is present tense, while verse 5 is future tense; leading you in how to think because of verse 7.]

James 5:20 “Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.”

QUESTION: Whose sins are being hidden?

ANSWER: At the least, the sins of the one who was converted from the error of his way.

1st Peter 4:8 “. . . for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.”

Romans 14:4 “Who art thou that judgest another man’s servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand.”

Philippians 2:1-3 “Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love. . . .”

Psalm 133:1 “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!”
