The “Mass”

[While remembering that the Catholic Institution claims it never changes, take note of the following changes.]

The ritual of “the mass” was established by the Catholic institution in 394 A.D.

(1)  The “mass” is not one thing, it is many things, and it is part of many things.

(2)  The “mass” is the centerpiece of Catholicism.

(3)  The “mass” is an abomination before God!

The “priests” began to distinguish themselves from the laity through the wearing of special clothing in 500 A.D.

Praying to “Mary,” dead “saints,” and “angels” began in 600

The first human being on earth to be proclaimed “pope” took place in 610.

“Veneration” of relics was authorized in 788.

“Holy water” was instituted in 850.

Canonization of dead “saints” was first done in 995.  [Not to promote Jesus Christ, but to promote Catholicism.]

The “Mass” was not thought of as “a sacrifice” until the 11th century.  [Previous Catholics were heretics.]

The mandatory celibacy of priests was instituted in 1079.

The idea of “rosary beads” was borrowed from Hinduism and introduced by Peter the Hermit in 1090.

The sale of indulgences was instituted in 1190.

The inquisition [torture and murder of Christians and confiscation of their property] was legalized by the Fourth Lateran Council in 1215.

The doctrine of “transubstantiation” was decreed by “Pope Innocent III” in 1215.

(Notice, also that a mere five years later:)

“Adoration” of the wafer was decreed by “Pope Honorius III” in 1220.

The doctrine of “Purgatory” was proclaimed in 1439.

Tradition was declared of equal authority with the bible by the Council of Trent in 1545.

[This was their response to the growing awareness of Catholic “excesses” in fabricating unbiblical doctrine!]

The “apocryphal books” were added to the bible by the Council of Trent in 1546.

The “Immaculate Conception” of Mary was proclaimed by “Pope Pius IX” in 1854.

Infallibility of the “pope” was proclaimed by the First Vatican Council in 1870.

[Previous and subsequent “popes” had been declaring other popes as “heretics” and “anti-Christs”!]

“Pius XI” declared Mary to be “The Mother of God” in 1931.

“The Assumption of the Virgin Mary” was announced by “Pope Pius XII” in 1950.

[Before this it was said that she “died a virgin”! – which is also a lie (Matthew 13:55-56; John 2:12; etc.).]

Mary was proclaimed as the “Mother of the Church” by “Pope Paul VI” (a Nazi) in 1965.

(1) The abomination of “the mass” is not “just another denominational preference” performed by a “priest” who is “just another pastor of another church”  [Observe the following official Catholic writings.]

L               This Is The Catholic Church:  “It should be easy to see why the Mass holds such an important place in the Church’s life.  The Mass is the very essence of the Church.  Within it the Church’s life, and the Church’s very existence is centered.  If there were no Mass, there could be no Catholic Church.  The Mass is our act of worship, an act which we know to be really worthy of God, because it is the sacrifice of God’s own Son.  * * *  It is through the Mass as well as through the other sacraments that the effects of Christ’s salvation are applied to the souls of men.”  (Published by Catholic Information Service, Knights of Columbus, Imprimatur: “Most Reverend” John F. Whealon, Archbishop of Hartford) (pp. 24-25) [Emphasis added.]

[SALIENT POINTS:

(1)  The “mass” is an overt act of satanic devil worship.

(2)  “God’s own Son” will NEVER be sacrificed again!]

“Sacrifice is the very essence of religion.  And it is only through sacrifice that union with the Creator can be perfectly acquired.  It was through sacrifice that Christ Himself was able to achieve this for man.  It is only through the perpetuation of that sacrifice that this union may be maintained.” [Emphasis added.]

[SCRIPTURE:

Romans 6:9   “Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.”

Hebrews 7:27   “Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people’s: for this he did once, when he offered up himself.”

9:25-26   “Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others; for then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.”

10:11-14   “And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins:  but this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God. . . .”]

L               The Spirit Of Jesus:  “The Holy Eucharist is the perpetual continuation of this act of sacrifice and surrender of our Lord.  When the Lord’s supper is celebrated, Christ again presents Himself in His act of total surrender to the Father in death.”  (pp. 89-90, Imprimatur: John Joseph Cardinal Carberry, Archbishop of St. Louis)

L               Sons of God in Christ:  “He offers Himself continually to the Father, in the same eternal act of offering that began on the cross and will never cease.” (emphasis added)  (book 4, p. 117)

L               For Them Also:  “The Mass is identical to Calvary — it is a sacrifice for sin — it must be perpetuated to take away sin.”  (pp. 289-299)

L               Catechism of Trent:  “The document on the Church repeats in substance the teaching of the Council of Trent that ‘priests and bishops are the representatives of God on earth . . . justly, therefore, they are called not only angels, but gods, holding as they do the place of authority of God on earth.’”

(Remember that it is written:  Matthew 20:25-28   “. . . they that are great exercise authority  upon them.  But it shall not be so among you. . . .”

L               “alter Christus”  (“other Christs”)  “Where there is no priest there is no sacrifice, and where there is no sacrifice there is no religion . . . without the priest the death and passion of our Lord would be of no avail to us . . . see the power of the priest!  By one word from his lips, he changes a piece of bread into a God! A greater feat than the creation of a world.  * * *  If I were to meet a priest and an angel, I would salute the priest before saluting the angel.  The angel is a friend of God, but the priest holds the place of God. . . .”  – “Saint” J.B.M. Vianney

[If you are not nauseous after reading this, you are truly sick.]

Romans 12:10   “Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love. . . .”

L               Instructions For Non-Catholics:  “A priest does not have to ask God to forgive your sins.  The priest himself has the power to do so in Christ’s name.  Your sins are forgiven by the priest the same as if you knelt before Jesus Christ and told them to Christ Himself.”

Acts 8:18-22   Repent therefore . . . and pray God, if perhaps the thought of thine heart may be forgiven thee.”

(Peter does not “receive confession” from the man! but sends him to God.)

L               Baltimore Catechism:  “penance . . . the sacrament by which sins committed after baptism are forgiven through the absolution of the priest”  (p. 300)

L               Council of Trent:  (Section 6)  “Whosoever shall affirm that men are justified solely by the imputation of the righteousness of Christ . . . let him be accursed.”  [This seems to me to be enough for one day.]

Romans 5:16-18   “. . . even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.”

Ephesians 1:1-7   “In whom [Jesus Christ] we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace. . . .”

Colossians 1:14   “In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins. . . .”

2:10-13   “And you . . . hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses. . . .”

Priesthood (according to the word of God)

John 18:19-22   “And when he had thus spoken, one of the officers which stood by struck Jesus with the palm of his hand, saying, Answerest thou the high priest so?”  (Who is the real “high priest” here? and who is the son of Satan?)

Acts 23:1-5   “Then said Paul, I wist [consider] not, brethren, that he was the high priest: for it is written, Thou shalt not speak evil of the ruler of thy people.”

QUESTION:  Who WAS the ruler of Israel? (and still is!)  (The same god who rules America and the world!)

ANSWER:  John 8:28-44   “Ye are of your father the devil. . . .”

24:1   “And after five days Ananias the high priest descended with the elders, and with a certain orator named Tertullus, who informed the governor against Paul.”

Hebrews 3:1   “Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus. . . .”

4:14   “Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.”

2nd Corinthians 4:1-5   “Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not; But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God.”

2nd Timothy 4:1-5   “But watch thou in all things. . . .”  (Don’t be like the others out there!)

(Isaiah 56:10-11   His watchmen are blind:  they are all ignorant, they are all dumb dogs, they cannot bark; sleeping, lying down, loving to slumber.  Yea, they are greedy dogs which can never have enough, and they are shepherds that cannot understandthey all look to their own way, every one for his gain, from his quarter.”)

1st Corinthians 4:6   “. . . learn in us not to think of men above that which is written. . . .”

(2) The “Holy Eucharist” of Catholicism (the wafer god)

Transubstantiation,  n.  A change of one substance into another; specifically, in the Roman Catholic and Orthodox Eastern Churches, the doctrine of the conversion of the bread and wine in the Eucharist into the body and blood of Christ, only the accidents of bread and wine remaining.” – Webster’s New Universal Unabridged, 2nd Edition

Canon I:   “If anyone shall deny that the body and blood, together with the soul and divinity of our Lord Jesus Christ, and therefore entire Christ, are truly, really, and substantially contained in the sacrament of the most Holy Eucharist; and shall say that He is only in it as a sign, or in a figure – let him be accursed!”  – Council of Trent

Canon II:   “If anyone shall say that the substance of the bread and wine remains in the sacrament of the most Holy Eucharist, together with the body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ . . .  – let him be accursed!”  – Council of Trent

Canon VI:   “If anyone shall say that Christ, the only begotten Son of God, is not to be adored in the holy sacrament of the Eucharist, even with the open worship of Latria, and therefore not to be venerated with any peculiar festal celebrity, nor to be solemnly carried about in processions according to the praiseworthy and universal rites and customs of the Holy Church, and that He is not to be publicly set before the people to be adored, and that His adorers are idolators  – let him be accursed.”  – Council of Trent

(Latria,  n.   in the Roman Catholic Church, the highest kind of worship, due to God alone. . . .)

[The above is played down in America because there were too many bible believers here to allow this to be publically acted out; but not so in other parts of the world where Catholicism thoroughly rules and the people are in absolute darkness.]

(Paul said by the Holy Spirit, “But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.”  — Galatians 1:8)

The Catholic “proof-text”:  John 6:54-55   “Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.  For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed.”

ENTER SOUND DOCTRINE:  (contending for the faith from the word of God)

John 6:24-63 (53)   “Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.”

[Consider the “literal interpretation” of this proof-text used as a justification for the abomination of the mass.

(A)  This passage is one of the most highly figurative in the word of God;

(B)  The unholy Roman pagan religion almost never officially takes any passage in the word of God literally (concerning, for example, calling men “father,” loving graven images, celibacy of priests, tithing, calling “the pope” “Holy Father,” claiming “the pope” takes the place of Christ, Mary as the “Mother of God,” Mary is a “mediatrix” for believers, worshiping Mary, worshiping objects, perpetual sacrifice of Christ, etc.)

(C)  even if it were true that this verse should be taken literally, we would still be light years away from proving or demonstrating “transubstantiation” as a result (which is an abominable and ungodly absurdity in itself); and

(D)  taking this verse literally forces absurd contradictions upon the Lord (which is not a problem for Catholics who truly hate him and are really seeking the glory of “the queen of heaven”, “the mother of graces,” “the holy mother,” “our lady,” etc.) and THEMSELVES.]

(E)  Consuming “the flesh of the Son of man” is NOT done alone, but includes drinking “his blood”.

[If this verse was taken literally, then the Lord contradicts his own word and promotes absurdities because:

(1)  Drinking blood is forbidden by the word of the Lord, and

  • Acts 15:20   “But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood.”
  • v. 29   “That ye abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood. . . .”
  • 21:25   “As touching the Gentiles which believe, we have written and concluded that they observe no such thing, save only that they keep themselves from things offered to idols, and from blood. . . .”

(2)  the Lord would have to be thus teaching cannibalism of himself . . .

(a)  who is a risen LIVING saviour and will never die again, and

  • Romans 6:9   “Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more. . . .”

(b)  doesn’t need to die again.

  • Hebrews 7:27;  9:26, 28; 10:10   “Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice . . . for this he did once, when he offered up himself.”

v. 35   “And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.”

(1)  This is not a description of two things“coming” to the Lord ORbelieving on” him, but of ONE thing.

(2)  Coming to the Lord “and” believing on him is a SINGLE ACT which cannot be separated!

[To come to the Lord and NOT believe on him is just as sick as to believe on him and NOT come to him!]

(4)  [If this is to be taken physically (not spiritually), then we would have to (A) physically come to him, (B) physically believe on him, and then (C) physically eat him.  The problem with that is:

(A)  We can’t physically get to him.  (He is in heaven and we don’t have space ships that can get us there.)

(B)  We can’t physically believe on him.  It’s only by spiritual power that this can be done.

  • John 6:44   “No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him. . . .”

(C)  Everyone will physically hunger and physically thirst if physical food and physical water is taken from them.

L         So that what the Lord said here is simply not true in any of it’s parts, if the Lord meant it “physically” (or literally).

v. 58   “This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live for ever.”  (That is, NOT with your mouth  –  NOT physically!)

v. 63   “It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.”  [If you don’t understand this, maybe you don’t want to understand it.]

Meat Is Not Always “meat.”  (The Lord is on a spiritual plane and men are always dwelling on their bellies.)

John 4:31-34   “But he said unto them, I have meat to eat that ye know not of.”  [Read this passage.]

(Matthew 26:39, 42   “. . . if it be possible, let this cup pass from me. . . .”)

[This is the “meat” of which the lord spoke (and it wasn’t a physical cup at all either).]

1st Corinthians 10:1-4   “Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea; and were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea; and did all eat the same spiritual meat; and did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.”

NOTICE:

(1)  This baptism did NOT make Israel “right with God”

(a)  it only got them to the other side of the Red Sea,

(b)  where they were mostly all rejected of God later, anyway.  (1st Corinthians 10:5&7)

(2)  There is nothing provided here literally to “eat,” and nothing to “drink” except salt water

(a)  either they didn’t have anything physical to eat in connection with this baptism, or

(b)  what they ate and drank was so unimportant that it wasn’t mentioned.

(3)        The Catholic priesthood does not exist and cannot trans-substantiate Jesus Christ to make him physically available for eating or drinking.

Matthew 5:6   “Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.”

(The Lord is the answer for this “hunger” and “thirst” and a man’s belly has nothing to do with it.)

THE CONFESSIONAL BOX  (Out of the mind of Satan!)

James 5:16   Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.”
