Religions such as “Jehovah’s Witnesses” reject Jesus Christ under the excuse that the Godhead “of Christendom” (as they put it) cannot be understood. Being ignorant of the mystery of God they foolishly assume that mortal man should consider it within his power to comprehend and define the Godhead. Failing to see the importance of what IS revealed of God, by his word, reprobate men reject the truth that they might create a god of their own design which they can manage under their own terms (base idolatry). Everything about God which is NECESSARY in God’s opinion to be known, IS MADE KNOWN in the bible. (John 20:30-31). Satan is perfectly familiar with the Godhead, and his foremost purpose in deceiving men in their “religion” is to remove the person, position, and power of Jesus Christ. The members of the “Watch Tower” Society (exactly as in Catholicism), while cunningly claiming to be “Christian” to their proselytes, openly deny Christ in their doctrine. They are antichrist. They are everywhere. They are in the “churches.”
Jude 3-4 “For there are certain men crept in unawares . . . denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.”
1st John 2:22-26 “He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son. Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father. . . .”
(Matthew 23:15 “Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves.”)
Λ The scriptures and the Holy Spirit testify of the Son.
John 5:39 “. . . the scriptures . . . are they which testify of me.”
15:26 “. . . the Comforter . . . even the Spirit of truth . . . shall testify of me. . . .”
It is not surprising that the “Watch Tower Society,” having a “different spirit” and rejecting the Authorized bible (although for many years this was all they had), would come up with a “different scripture.” The “New World Translation,” as all of the hundreds of Satanic “bibles,” has repeatedly hacked out the glory given unto the Lord’s name and work, yet most of what follows below remains there still: they just ignore it! (Lord open their eyes.)
1st John 5:7-13 [Verse 7 is missing in the JW “bible.”] “For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. . . . These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God . . . that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.”
THE QUESTION: Exodus 5:1-2 “Who is the Lord, that I should obey his voice. . . .?” (Pharaoh got no answer!)
John 20:26-28 “. . . then came Jesus . . . And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.”
[Thomas was stubborn when it came to the truth of this matter, but he finally got it right.)
John 1:43-51 “Nathanael answered and saith unto him, Rabbi, thou art the Son of God; thou art the King of Israel.”
[Nathanael got it right from the beginning with no difficulty.]
John 1:1-3 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”
(NOT “was a god.” The “Jehovah’s Witness” “bible” offers TWO gods for those who are blind.)
Galatians 3:20 “. . . God is one.”
Amos 5:27 “. . . the Lord, whose name is The God of hosts.” (not “a god of hosts”)
(James 2:19 “Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.”)
(The devils do not believe what they convince the “Witnesses” to believe!)
Revelation 19:11-13 “And . . . and his name is called The Word of God.”
John 1:14 “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us. . . .”
Matthew 1:22-23 “. . . a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.”
1st Timothy 3:16 “. . . God was manifest in the flesh. . . .” (not “a god was manifest in the flesh”)
John 14:9 “. . . henceforth ye know him, and have seen him. . . . he that hath seen me hath seen the Father. . . .”
Colossians 2:6-9 “Beware lest any man spoil you . . . in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.”
1:12-19 “For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell. . . .”
The First and the Last
Isaiah 44:6 “Thus saith the Lord the King of Israel, and his redeemer the Lord of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God.” (The “Jehovah’s Witnesses” think they know who this is!)
48:12 “Hearken unto me, O Jacob and Israel, my called; I am he; I am the first, I also am the last.”
Revelation 1:7-18 “I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last. . . . Fear not; I am the first and the last. . . .”
2:8 “These things saith the first and the last, which was dead, and is alive.” (JW’s don’t know what to make of this?)
22:12-13 “I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.”
v. 16 “I Jesus . . . I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.”
[The “offspring of David” was also the “root” of David”, that is:] (The fruit of the family tree was also its root.)
John 8:58 “Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.”
QUESTION: Matthew 22:41-46 “If David then call him Lord, how is he his son?”
ANSWER: [(Joseph and Mary were both of the house of David); but the Lord is the Son of God!)
[JWs stumble because they Satanically deny the Son. Catholics admit the Son, but then Satanically put the emphasis on “the mother!”]
QUESTION: Who is our mother?
ANSWER: Galatians 4:26
A Stone of Stumbling (“Lord of hosts” = “God of Israel” = “stone of stumbling” = “chief corner stone” = “Jesus Christ”)
2nd Samuel 7:25-28 “. . . O Lord God . . . The Lord of hosts is the God over Israel . . . O Lord of hosts, God of Israel . . . O Lord God, thou art that God. . . .” (There are too many of these to count!)
Isaiah 8:13-14 “the Lord of hosts . . . a stone of stumbling and . . . rock of offence”
(Psalm 24:8,10 “Who is this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah.”)
Romans 9:33 “As it is written, Behold, I lay in Sion a stumblingstone and rock of offence. . . .”
(1st Corinthians 10:1-4 “. . . and that Rock was Christ.”)
1st Peter 2:6-8 “a chief corner stone . . . a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence”
(Matthew 21:44 “And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.”)
v. 9 “But ye are a chosen generation . . . that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you. . . .”
[”Jehovah’s Witnesses” don’t show forth his praises: they DENY him. They will try to talk you out of knowing him!]
Ephesians 2:20 “Jesus Christ . . . the chief corner stone”
Matthew 7:24-27 “and great was the fall of it.” (Those that fall were not “founded upon a rock.”)
(This includes Catholics, “Jehovah’s Witnesses,” and every other thing that rejects Jesus Christ.)
It’s Personal
Acts 20:28 “Take heed therefore . . . to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.”
(Our God did not purchase the church with somebody ELSE’S blood!)
Zechariah 12:1,10 “. . . and they shall look upon me whom they have [1] pierced . . . [2] only son . . . [3] firstborn.”
QUESTION: Who is “me” referring to: God, an angel, Zechariah?
HINT: Zechariah is the prophet of “God”.
[1] John 19:34 “But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side. . . .”
Revelation 1:7 “. . . he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him. . . .”
[2] John 1:18 “No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.”
John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son. . . .”
1st John 4:9 “. . . God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.”
[3] Matthew 1:24-25 “Then Joseph . . . knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son. . . .”)
Colossians 1:15 “Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature. . . .”
Colossians 1:18 “And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.”
13:6 “And one shall say unto him, What are these wounds in thine hands? Then he shall answer, Those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends.”
Isaiah 9:6-7 “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.”
7:14 “Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.”
Matthew 1:23 “. . . Emmanuel . . . being interpreted is, God with us.”
John 5:22-23 “. . . that all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him.”
(The “JWs” think they’re doing “JEHOVAH” a favor by denying and dishonoring the Son, whose name this is!)
“JEHOVAH” (used four times in the bible)
1) Exodus 6:2-3 “And God spake unto Moses, and said unto him, I am the Lord: and I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by the name of God Almighty, but by my name JEHOVAH was I not known to them.
John 1:18 “No man hath seen God [that is, the Lord’s Father] at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.”
Exodus 3:14-15 “And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM . . . say unto . . . Israel, I AM hath sent me. . . .”
John 8:56-59 “Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.”
(The Jews intended to stone him because they perfectly understood what he said, just as you do!)
2) Psalm 83:18 “. . . thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth.”
(It is nobody else’s name but his!)
3) Isaiah 12:2 “. . . the Lord JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation.”
(Acts 4:10-12 “. . . Jesus Christ . . . Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”)
[If you’re into powerful names, “JEHOVAH” is not the one you want to make a big fuss about!]
(Philippians 2:5-11 “a name which is above every name . . . the name of Jesus”)
4) Isaiah 26:4 “Trust ye in the Lord for ever: for in the Lord JEHOVAH is everlasting strength. . . .”
Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” (So, who strengthens you?)
THE REAL “JEHOVAH’S WITNESSES” (are born again Christians)
Isaiah 43:10-15 “Ye are my witnesses, saith the Lord, and my servant whom I have chosen; that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me. I, even I, am the Lord; and beside me there is no saviour. I have declared, and have saved, and I have shewed, when there was no strange god among you: therefore ye are my witnesses, saith the Lord, that I am God. . . . I am he . . . your redeemer, the Holy One of Israel . . . the Lord, your Holy One, the creator of Israel, your King.”
1st John 5:20 “. . . the Son of God is come . . . Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.”
Isaiah 44:8 “Fear ye not, neither be afraid: have not I told thee from that time, and have declared it? ye are even my witnesses. Is there a God beside me? yea, there is no God; I know not any.”
The Son of Man is Not Just a Man
Matthew 22:41-46 “If David then call him Lord, how is he his son?” (Good question!)
[In other words, how is “the son of David” ONLY the son of David; for if that were so, David would not call him Lord!]
The Son of God Is Not an Angel (The “Witnesses” like to pretend that the Son of God is an angel, a “CREATED” being.)
Hebrews 1:1-8 “But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever. . . .” (David, in Psalm 45:6)
v. 4 “Being made so much better than the angels. . . .” [”made” better NOT “created” better]
2:9 “But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death. . . .”
v. 10 “. . . to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.” [Nothing is “created” here!]
v. 16 “For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham.” (flesh)
John 1:14 “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us. . . .” [Nothing is “created” here!]
v. 17 “Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren. . . .” [He TOOK that form.]
5:9-11 “And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him. . . .”
QUESTION: When was the Lord “made perfect”?
ANSWER: Luke 13:32 “. . . I do cures today and tomorrow, and the third day I shall be perfected.”
[That is, on the cross; and he wasn’t “created” then either!]
7:1-4 “Now consider how great this man was. . . .” (The “Witnesses” don’t consider this.)
v. 17 “Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.” [The Lord WAS Melchisedec!]
vs. 21-28 “By so much was Jesus made a surety of a better testament. . . . seeing he ever liveth. . . .”
Men of God Will Not Be Worshipped (Satan’s people will: Caesar, the “pope,” masters of the lodges, etc.)
Acts 10:25-26 “. . . Cornelius met [Peter], and fell down at his feet, and worshipped him. But Peter took him up, saying, Stand up; I myself also am a man.”
Angels of God Will Not Be Worshipped (Devils will!)
Revelation 19:10 “And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not . . . worship God.”
22:8-9 “I fell down to worship . . . the angel. . . . Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not . . . worship God.”
Matthew 4:8-10 “Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God. . . .”
Jesus Christ Is Worshipped
Matthew 8:2 “And behold, there came a leper and worshipped him. . . .” [and the Lord let him!]
9:18 “While he spake these things unto them, behold, there came a certain ruler, and worshipped him. . . .”
20:20 “Then came to him the mother of Zebedee’s children with her sons, worshipping him. . . .”
28:9 “Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and held him by the feet, and worshipped him.”
Mark 5:6 “But when he saw Jesus afar off, he ran and worshipped him. . . .” [and the Lord let him!]
Luke 24:52 “And they worshipped him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy. . . .”
John 9:35-38 “And he said, Lord, I believe. And he worshipped him.” [and the Lord let him!]
“Jehovah’s Witnesses” Proof Texts
1) John 14:28 “If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I.”
% Philippians 2:6 “. . . Christ Jesus . . . in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God. . . .”
(The Lord acknowledges that IN FLESH he is NOT equal, which is why he said: “If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said I go unto the Father. . . .”)
% Hebrews 2:9 “But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death. . . .”
2) Mark 10:18 “And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God.”
It never occurs to the hypocrites that this man is calling the Lord “Good Master” not believing that he is “the Lord” which is why he did not call him “Lord.” If the Lord is NOT “the Son of God” then he was a liar and not “good” at all! The Lord, recognizing his lack of faith , asked him, “why callest thou me good? [since you don’t believe that I am he.]” (If the man had believed on him as who he was he would have followed him. He believed on his riches!)
3) Ephesians 1:2 “Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.”
(The JWs pretend that since there is an “and” between these two that “the Lord Jesus Christ” cannot be “God”.)
% Colossians 2:2 “. . . to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ. . . .”
(By the Satanic JW conclusion, of course, “the Father” is ALSO not “God”.)
% Colossians 3:17 “. . . giving thanks to God and the Father by him.”
(There is an “and” between the two words, but they are the SAME. Repeated titles for the same God.)
% Ephesians 5:20 “. . . unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. . . .”
(There are three names here, but only one God.)
Ephesians 4:4-6 “. . . One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all. . . .”
(“God and Father” is not two, but one: these are two titles for the same God.)
% Revelation 1:6 “. . . Jesus Christ . . . hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father. . . .”
The Words Are Used Interchangeably. (repetition of equal names, but only ONE person or thing referred to)
(Examples:)
Psalm 14:7 “. . . Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.”
(Genesis 35:10 “Thy name is Jacob . . . but Israel shall be thy name: and he called his name Israel.”)
Psalm 78:5 “For he established a testimony in Jacob, and appointed a law in Israel. . . .” [just ONE man]
vs. 21-22 “. . . so a fire was kindled against Jacob, and anger also came up against Israel. . . .”
v. 70-71 “. . . he brought him to feed Jacob his people, and Israel his inheritance.” (etc., etc.)
94:22 “But the Lord is my defence; and my God is the rock of my refuge.” (“the rock” is Jesus Christ the Lord.)
2nd Samuel 22:14 “The Lord thundered from heaven, and the most High uttered his voice.”
23:3 “The God of Israel said, the Rock of Israel spake to me. . . .” (This is not “two gods”: it is repetition of titles.)
Psalm 91:1 “He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.”
(“the most High” IS “the Almighty”)
Isaiah 43:1 “But now thus saith the Lord that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel. . . .”
1st Timothy 1:1 “. . . God our Saviour, and Lord Jesus Christ, which is [singular] our hope. . . .” (a “JW” proof text)
[He is ONE, as with “Lord” and “God.”]
Psalm 47:2-7 “God is gone up with a shout, the Lord with the sound of a trumpet.” (Jesus Christ referred to both times)
Psalm 91:9 “Because thou hast made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation. . . .”
Isaiah 25:9 “And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this is our God . . . this is the Lord. . . .”
40:3 “. . . Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.”
“The Lord” is God
2nd Samuel 22:32 “For who is God, save the Lord? and who is a rock, save our God?”
(Most of today’s “religious people” can’t answer either question and get it right!)
(1st Corinthians 10:1-4 “. . . and that Rock was Christ.”)
Psalm 25:4-5 “. . . O Lord . . . thou art the God of my salvation. . . .”
31:14 “But I trusted in thee, O Lord: I said, Thou art my God.”
86:9-10 “. . . O Lord . . . thou art God alone.”
90:1-2 “Lord . . . thou art God.”
91:2 “I will say of the Lord, He is . . . my God. . . .”
140:6-7 “I said unto the Lord, Thou art my God . . . O God the Lord. . . .”
143:9-10 “. . . O Lord . . . thou art my God. . . .”
Isaiah 25:1 “O Lord, thou art my God. . . .”
Acts 4:18-24 “And they called them, and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus. But . . . they lifted up their voice to God with one accord, and said, Lord, thou art God, which hast made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all that in them is. . . .” (See: John 1:1-3,14)
John 20:26-28 “. . . then came Jesus . . . And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.”
“Christ” is God
Romans 14:12 “So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.” (How will that be done?)
See: v. 10 “. . . for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.”
“The Lord” is “King”
Psalm 10:16 “The Lord is King for ever and ever. . . .”
“The King” is God
Psalm 44:4 “Thou art my King, O God. . . .”
“God” and “Saviour” (They are One)
Luke 2:11 “a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord”
Titus 1:3 “God our Saviour”
v. 4 “the Lord Jesus Christ our Saviour”
2:10 “God our Saviour”
v. 13-14 “the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us” [singular]
3:4 “God our Saviour”
v. 6 “Jesus Christ our Saviour” (How many “Saviours” do we believers have?)
Isaiah 45:15 “Verily thou art a God that hidest thyself, O God of Israel, the Saviour.”
v. 21 “I the Lord? . . . there is no God else beside me; a just God and a Saviour; there is none beside me”
[The JW’s pretend that “the Father is ALSO a saviour,” so that references to the Saviour being God can exclude the Son.]
Hosea 13:4 “. . . I am the Lord thy God . . . there is no saviour beside me.”
(There are not two saviours, just as there are not two Gods! Either the Father and the Son ARE ONE, or you might as well throw the bible away and stop pretending you believe any of it!)
Isaiah 49:26 “. . . all flesh shall know that I the Lord am thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob.”
Jude 25 “To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.”
GOD “APPEARED” (to Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, and Joshua)
Genesis 17:1 “. . . the Lord appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God. . . .” (“Abram saw him.)
26:24 “And the Lord appeared unto [Isaac] . . . and said, I am the God of Abraham. . . .” (Isaac saw him.)
35:9-11 “And God appeared unto Jacob . . . And God said unto him, I am God Almighty. . . .” (Jacob saw him.)
48:3 “And Jacob said unto Joseph, God Almighty appeared unto me at Luz. . . .” (Jacob testified of it.)
Exodus 3:13-16 “God . . . The God of your fathers . . . I AM THAT I AM . . . I AM . . . The Lord God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob, appeared. . . .” (Moses saw him.)
Joshua 5:13-15 “. . . Joshua . . . lifted up his eyes and . . . there stood . . . the captain of the Lord’s host. . . .”
[See Hebrews 2:10 for WHO this “captain” is.] (Joshua saw him.) (Joshua worshipped him.) (Who is this?)
John 1:18 “No man hath seen God [the Father] at any time; the only begotten Son . . . hath declared him.”
5:37 “Ye have neither heard his voice at any time [the Father himself], nor seen his shape.” (Then who “appeared”?)
1st John 4:12-14 “No man hath seen God at any time. . . . the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world.”
(QUESTION: Who did Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, and Joshua SEE?)
Λ Exodus 6:2-3 “And God spake unto Moses and said unto him, I am the Lord: and I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by the name of God Almighty, but by my name JEHOVAH was I not known to them.”
“The Almighty” (John saw him!)
Λ Revelation 1:8-17 “I am Alpha and Omega . . . which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.”
v. 18 “I am he that liveth, and was dead; and , behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen. . . .”
Λ 22:13,16 “I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. . . . I Jesus. . . .”
11:16-17 “We give thee thanks, O Lord God Almighty, which art, and wast, and art to come. . . .”
Acts 1:9-11 “. . . this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.” (in the clouds)
4:8 “. . . Lord God Almighty, which was [from the beginning], and is [he lives], and is to come [Messiah the Saviour].”
1:7 “Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him. . . .”
v. 11 “Thou art worthy, O Lord . . . for thou hast created all things. . . .”
John 1:1-3,14 “In the beginning was the Word, and . . . All things were made by him. . . .”
15:3 “the Lamb . . . Lord God Almighty . . . thou King of saints” (Jesus Christ, the Son of God, JEHOVAH)
(See how hopelessly the “Jehovah’s WITNESSES” are confused and deceived by the Devil, whose main mission in life is to DENY Jehovah?)
“The Father”
John 14:1-9 “Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?”
[Philip has been talking to a “Jehovah’s Witness.”]
2nd Corinthians 4:3-4 “Christ , who is the image of God” When you come into contact with the Godhead it is Jesus Christ that you will hear, see, touch, smell, love, understand, and know.
(This is why Christians (unlike Catholics, etc.) don’t have to carve their own “image.” We have ONE!)
John 10:30 “I and my Father are one.” (This is why Christians don’t have to wrest scripture, but “Jehovah’s Witnesses do!)
1st John 5:7 “For there are three . . . the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.”
Isaiah 9:6 “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder; and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.”
[Your problem is not with “interpretation,” but rather with “BELIEF!”]
Psalm 89:26 “Thou art my father, my God, and the rock of my salvation.” (three titles, one God)
“The Rock” [The “rock” is repeatedly and plainly given in the bible to be Jesus Christ.]
[If you’re Catholic “the rock” is not Jesus Christ, it’s Peter; and similarly if you’re a “Jehovah’s Witness” the “rock” is not Jesus Christ, it’s “the father”.] (Different details, same Satanic strategy!)
Deuteronomy 32:31 “For their rock is not as our Rock, even our enemies themselves being judges.”
Observe a God-prepared pattern of an important truth:
John 19:30-34 “But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and forthwith came there out blood and water.”
1st John 5:5-6 “This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood.”
Hebrews 9:19,22-24 “. . . Moses . . .according to the law . . . took the blood . . .with water. . . .”
8:1,4-5 “the example and shadow of heavenly things . . . according to the pattern”
QUESTION: Jesus Christ is the “Lamb of God” and so blood came out. WHAT IS HE that water came out?
ANSWER: Exodus 17:1-7 “. . . and thou shalt smite the rock, and there shall come water out of it. . . .”
(Also: Deuteronomy 8:15, Nehemiah 9:15, and Psalm 114:8)
Isaiah 48:20-21 “And they thirsted not when he led them through the deserts: he caused the waters to flow out of the rock for them: he clave the rock also, and the waters gushed out.”
Matthew 16:18 “. . . and upon this rock I will build my church. . . .” (“this rock” is Jesus Christ himself)
(It’s clear to those that love the Lord who “this” is, but to the world “this” is always allowed to be something else.)
John 2:13-22 “Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.” (He said this IN “THE TEMPLE”!)
“But he spake of the temple of his body.” (He spoke of himself!)
“upon this rock I will build my church” (In other words: “this rock” is the foundation of the church.)
Isaiah 28:16 “Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone. . . .”
1st Corinthians 3:10-11 “For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.”
Luke 20:9-19 “The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner. . . .”
Isaiah 53:3 The “pope” isn’t rejected of men, and “god” isn’t rejected of men: it is Jesus Christ who is rejected!
Isaiah 8:13-14 “. . . he shall be . . . a stone of stumbling and for a rock of offence to both the houses of Israel. . . .”
(The Jews didn’t stumble on “God”, but on “the Son of God”; as did “the Witnesses”. The Son is their problem!)
John 6:45 “Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me.”
14:6 “. . . no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”
1st Peter 2:1-9 “. . . unto them which be disobedient . . . a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence. . . .”
Psalm 18:2,31 “The Lord is my rock. . . . For who is God save the Lord? or who is a rock save our God?”
(You were asked a question. What’s the answer?)
62:2 “He only is my rock and my salvation. . . .” (There aren’t “two rocks”!)
(See: bible study: “The Rock”)
“The Lord”
Matthew 3:1-3 “For this is he that was spoken of by the prophet Esaias . . . Prepare ye the way of the Lord. . . .”
(Who is this “Lord?”)
Isaiah 40:3 “The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.”
John 5:18 “Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he . . . said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God.”
