The Day of the Lord

[(or “the Lord’s day”) This is not Sunday. This is not ANY day of the WEEK! This is One day! This is THE day!]

TIMING:

Matthew 24:29-36 “Immediately after the tribulation of those days . . . they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. But of that day and hour knoweth no man. . . .”

Λ [We now know two things: (1) the day comes AFTER the tribulation, and

(2) no one knows EXACTLY when that day will be.]

vs. 37-39 “But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.”

[We will know the general timing of the Lord’s coming because of the circumstances given surrounding that time.]

25:1-13 “Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.”

Λ [He’s coming LATER than the “foolish” were expecting him!]

24:42-44 “Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh”

(Satan had his hour already: See, Matthew 26:45; Mark 14:35; Luke 22:53.)

[It is universally assumed among phoney Christian organizations, that being “ready” must indicate that the Lord will come SOONER than would otherwise be indicated; refusing the implication, as repeatedly given in the bible, that we should be “ready” to “wait” and “endure” LATER than we would think if the Lord had not warned us.]

Λ 2nd Thessalonians 2:1-3 “. . . by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him . . . that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed. . . .”

1st Thessalonians 5:2-4 “For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.”

Λ [“Pre-Trib Rapture” deceivers quote this verse as proof of a “secret coming” and although this verse, when isolated, allows this erroneous conclusion, the truly significant truth about a thief coming at night is (1) you’re asleep! and (2) you’re not expecting him! (2nd Peter contains more “thief” information, but is never used by these people.)]

2nd Peter 3:10-12 “But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.” [There’s nothing “secret” about any of this! It is just completely UNEXPECTED!]

(“Pre-Trib Rapture” people will only quote the first part of this verse, and NEVER take you to the verse.)

Acts 2:20 “The sun shall be turned into darkness . . . before that great and notable day of the Lord come. . . .”

Hebrews 10:25 “. . . but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.”

Revelation 1:10 “the Lord’s day” (John was taken off the planet and into the future!)

[This has nothing at all to do with “Sunday.”]

A TERRIBLE DAY OF DESTRUCTION WRATH AND VENGEANCE AGAINST THE LORD’S ENEMIES

Psalm 110:5-6 “The Lord at thy right hand shall strike through kings in the day of his wrath. . . . he shall fill the places with the dead bodies . . . over many countries.”

Ezekiel 7:7-19 “. . . the time is come, the day of trouble is near . . . mine eye shall not spare, neither . . . pity. . . .”

Joel 1:15-20 “Alas for the day! for the day of the Lord is at hand, and as a destruction from the Almighty. . . .”

2:31-32 “The sun shall be turned into darkness . . . before the great and the terrible day of the Lord come.”

3:9-21 “Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the Lord is near in the valley of decision.”

Zephaniah 1:7-8 “. . . the day of the Lord is at hand: for the Lord hath prepared a sacrifice, he hath bid his guests.”

(Who are the guests and what is the sacrifice?)

Ezekiel 39:1-4 “I will give thee unto the ravenous birds of every sort. . . .”

vs. 17-20 “. . . of my sacrifice which I have sacrificed . . . Thus ye shall be filled at my table . . . with mighty men. . . .”

Jeremiah 46:1-10 “. . .mighty men . . .Ethiopians . . . Libyans . . .Lydians . . . a sacrifice. . . . For this is the day of the Lord God of hosts, a day of vengeance, that he may avenge him of his adversaries. . . .”

EXPLANATION of “against the Gentiles; against Egypt, against the army of Pharaoh_necho king of Egypt. . . .”

As in Ezekiel 28:13-19 “ Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God. . . . Thou art the anointed cherub. . . .”

QUESTION: To whom is this really being said?

ANSWER: Satan!

vs. 1-12 [Yet on the surface, the message is delivered “unto the prince of Tyrus” who is Satan’s servant.]

Isaiah 13:6-13 “. . . cruel both with wrath and fierce anger . . . to lay the land desolate. . . . ”

A DAY OF THE LORD’S GLORY AND POWER, AND DEFEAT OF SATAN

Isaiah 2:11-12 “The lofty looks of man shall be humbled . . . and the Lord alone shall be exalted in that day.”

vs. 17-21 “ . . . and the Lord alone shall be exalted in that day. . . . when he ariseth to shake terribly the earth.”

27:1 “In that day the Lord with his sore and great and strong sword shall punish leviathan the piercing serpent. . . .”

Amos 5:18-20 “Woe unto you that desire the day of the Lord! . . . [it] is darkness and not light.”

8:9-14 “And it shall come to pass in that day . . . I will darken the earth in the clear day. . . .”

Obadiah 12-16 “For the day of the Lord is near upon all the heathen: as thou hast done, it shall be done unto thee.”

Zechariah 12:1-11 “In that day shall the Lord defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem . . . .”

13:1,2,4 “And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the Lord of hosts, that I will cut off the names of the idols. . . .”

14:1-13 “And the Lord shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one Lord, and his name one.”

Malachi 3:2 “But who may abide the day of his coming? and who shall stand when he appeareth?. . .”

4:1,3,5 “Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before . . . the great and dreadful day of the Lord. . . .”

Zephaniah 1:12-18 “That day is a day of wrath . . . he shall make . . . speedy riddance of all them that dwell in the land.”

A DAY OF RESURRECTION, DELIVERANCE, AND VENGEANCE FOR THE LORD’S PEOPLE

Isaiah 25:8-9 “He will swallow up death in victory . . . we have waited for him, and he will save us. . . .”

Deuteronomy 32:43 “Rejoice, O ye nations, with his people: for he will avenge the blood of his servants, and will render vengeance to his adversaries, and will be merciful unto his land, and to his people.”

Isaiah 1:21-28 “. . . I will ease me of mine adversaries, and avenge me of mine enemies. . . .”

Romans 12:19 “Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.”

Nahum 1:2,5,6 “. . . the Lord will take vengeance on his adversaries. . . . Who can stand before his indignation?”

Isaiah 26:20-21 “Come, my people . . . hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast.”

Zephaniah 2:1-3 “. . . seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be ye shall be hid in the day of the Lord’s anger.”

Isaiah 28:5 “In that day shall the Lord of hosts be for a crown of glory . . . unto the residue of his people. . . .”

34:8 “For it is the day of the Lord’s vengeance, and the year of recompences for the controversy of Zion.”

THE DAY OF THE LORD IS THE DAY OF JESUS CHRIST:

Romans 2:5,16 “the day of wrath . . . In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ . . .”

1st Corinthians 1:8 “. . . that ye may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

5:3-5 “For I . . . have judged already . . . that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.”

2nd Corinthians 1:14 “. . . in the day of the Lord Jesus.”

Philippians 1:6 “the day of Jesus Christ”

v. 10 “the day of Christ”

2:16 “the day of Christ”

(With a Trumpet)

Isaiah 18:3 “All ye inhabitants of the world, and dwellers on the earth . . . when he bloweth a trumpet, hear ye.”

Joel 2:1 “Blow ye the trumpet in Zion . . . for the day of the Lord cometh. . . .”

Matthew 24:29-31 “Immediately after the tribulation of those days . . . the Son of man coming in the clouds . . . with a great sound of a trumpet . . . shall gather together his elect.”

1st Corinthians 15:51-52 (again) “. . . at the last trump . . . the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised. . . .”

1st Thessalonians 4:15-17 “For the Lord himself shall descend . . . with a shout . . . and with the trump of God. . . .”

[The “last trump” is associated with: (1) the Lord in person, (2) a shout, (3) the people go up, (4) blood, (5) a sword, (6) destruction of a city, (7) death, and (8) fire.]

(Victory for one group, defeat for the other.)

(Again) Revelation 11:15 “And the seventh angel sounded . . . The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.”

EXAMPLES:

(1) The Lord with Moses at Mount Horeb

Exodus 19:10-13 (v. 11) “. . . the Lord will come down in the sight of all the people. . . .”

[This is the first time “trumpet” is used: the “secret rapture” theory is already destroyed.]

(Luke 3:4-7 “. . . And all flesh shall see the salvation of God.”)

(Revelation 1:7 “Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him. . . .”

(v. 13) “when the trumpet soundeth long, they shall come up. . . .” (and not a second sooner!)

v. 16 “. . . and the voice of the trumpet exceeding loud. . . .”

(See v. 19 This trumpet blast will be “loud” and “long”)

(v. 18 And there was “smoke”, “fire”, and an earthquake.)

(20:18 Also “thunderings” and “lightnings”)

(2) The Lord with Joshua at the Battle of Jericho (The event is saturated with trumpets.)

Joshua 5:13-15 [“the Lord himself” shows up to fight in it.] (See: 1st Thessalonians 4:16)

[See: Hebrews 2:10 for help in knowing this “captain of the host of the Lord.”] (Ignore the stupid center reference!)

6:2 “See, I have given into thine hand Jericho, and the king thereof, and the mighty men. . . .”

[See: Revelation 6:15-17 & 19:11-18 The only use of “mighty men” in the New Testament.]

vs. 3-4 “And seven priests shall bear before the ark seven trumpets of rams’ horns: and the seventh day ye shall compass the city seven times, and the priests shall blow with the trumpets.”

v. 5 “And it shall come to pass, that when they make a long blast with . . . the trumpet, . . .”

[Remember Mount Sinai, Exodus 19:13, “when the trumpet soundeth long, they shall come up. . . .” ]

(Revelation 4:1 “Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.”)

[John went up to Heaven in spirit, just like Paul in 2nd Corinthians 12:2-4]

(11:12 “Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud. . . .”)

[This time “come up” is the resurrection!]

“all the people shall shout with a great shout . . .” [Something new has been added.]

(Remember: 1st Thessalonians 4:16 “For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout. . . .”)

Isaiah 42:13-14 “The Lord . . . shall cry, yea, roar; he shall prevail against his enemies.”

Psalm 47:5 “God is gone up with a shout, the Lord with the sound of a trumpet.”

Joel 3:9-16 “. . . the press is full. . . . The Lord also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice. . . .”

Jeremiah 25:30-33 (v. 30) “. . . The Lord . . . shall give a shout, as they that tread the grapes. . . .”

Revelation 19:15 “. . . and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.”

Isaiah 63:1-3 “Wherefore art thou red in thine apparel, and thy garments like him that treadeth in the winefat?”

(Answer:) Revelation 14:18-20 “. . . and blood came out of the winepress, even unto the horse bridles. . . .”

(examination of Jeremiah 25:32) “. . . and a great whirlwind shall be raised up. . . .”

(see: 2nd Kings 2:11 “. . . and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.”)

(see also Job 38:1 “Then the Lord answered Job out of the whirlwind. . . .”)

Isaiah 40:15,21-24 “. . . and the whirlwind shall take them away as stubble.”

66:5-16 (v. 15) “For, behold, the Lord will come with fire, and with his chariots like a whirlwind. . . .”

Jeremiah 23:19-20 “Behold, a whirlwind of the Lord is gone forth in fury. . . .”

[Why is this appropriate?]

(Hosea 8:7 “For they have sown the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind. . . .”)

Zechariah 9:14,16 “. . . and the Lord God shall blow the trumpet, and shall go with whirlwinds. . . .”

Joshua 6:5 (Continued) “and the people shall ascend up every man straight before him.”

(See also: Joshua 6:20 “. . . the people went up into the city. . . .”)

vs. 6-16,20 “seven priests . . . seven trumpets . . . on the seventh day . . . compassed the city seven times”

Revelation 8:6 “And the seven angels which had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound.”

11:15 “And the seventh angel sounded. . . .” [Look at the events which go with this.]

v. 15 “The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord . . . he shall reign for ever and ever.”

v. 17 “. . . thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned.”

v. 18 “. . . the nations were angry . . .”

“thy wrath is come . . .”

“the time of the dead, that they should be judged . . .”

(Romans 14:9-12 “. . . dead and living . . . we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.”)

“that thou shouldest give reward . . .”

(Matthew 16:27 “For the Son of man shall come . . . and then he shall reward every man. . . .”

“unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints . . .” (for the same purpose, at the same time.)

[This is not a separate coming or a separate resurrection. All these things happen under the “last trump.”]

“and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.”

1st Corinthians 15:51-52 “. . . at the last trump; for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised. . . .”

v. 21 “And they utterly destroyed all that was in the city . . . with the edge of the sword.”

Remember Joshua 5:13 “. . . behold, there stood a man over against him with his sword drawn in his hand. . . .”

Revelation 1:16 “. . . and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword. . . .”

Deuteronomy 32:41-42 “If I whet my glittering sword . . . my sword shall devour flesh. . . .”

Joshua 6:24 “And they burnt the city with fire. . . .”

8:1,2,8 “And thou shalt do to Ai . . . as thou didst unto Jericho . . . ye shall set the city on fire. . . .”

Deuteronomy 13:12-16 “. . . Thou shalt surely smite . . . with . . . the sword . . . and shalt burn with fire the city. . . .”

[This is the general plan.]

[Jerusalem received the same thing, through Nebuchadrezzar] (God is no respecter of persons.)

Jeremiah 32:28-31 “. . . set fire on this city [Jerusalem] . . . that I should remove it from before my face. . . .”

34:2 “I will give this city into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall burn it with fire. . . .”

34:21-22 “. . . and they shall . . . burn it with fire. . . .” (along with the other cities of Judah)

[The government at Jerusalem was still calling God’s bluff, but the thing was certain.]

37:8-10 “For though . . . there remained but wounded men . . . yet should they . . . burn this city with fire.”

[For Zedekiah and Jerusalem there was still a way out.]

38:17-19 (But instead of fearing the word of the Lord, he feared the reproach of the people.)

39:6-8 “Then the king of Babylon . . . burned the . . . houses . . . with fire, and brake down the walls of Jerusalem.”

[How about Babylon in the end?] (That is, MYSTERY BABYLON)

Revelation 17:16-18 “And the ten horns . . . shall . . . burn her with fire . . . that great city. . . .”

18:8-10 “. . . she shall be utterly burned with fire . . . that great city. . . .”

(Revelation 18:15-19 “. . . that great city . . . this great city . . . Alas, alas that great city. . . .”)

[The Lord doesn’t think that city was so great!]

(v. 24 “And in her was found the blood . . . of all that were slain upon the earth.”)

(Revelation 16:6 “. . . and thou hast given them blood to drink; for they are worthy.”)

(3) The way it was in Egypt (a picture of the world prior to the Lord’s day)

Exodus 10:20-23 “And the Lord said unto Moses, Stretch out thine hand toward heaven, that there may be darkness over the land of Egypt, even darkness which may be felt. . . . a thick darkness in all the land of Egypt . . . but all the children of Israel had light in their dwellings.”

(Prophesied:) Isaiah 5:30 “And in that day they shall roar against them like the roaring of the sea: and if one look unto the land, behold darkness and sorrow, and the light is darkened in the heavens thereof.”

60:1-2 “For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people. . . .”

Jeremiah 13:16 “Give glory to the Lord your God, before he cause darkness, and before your feet stumble upon the dark mountains, and, while ye look for light, he turn it into the shadow of death, and make it gross darkness.”

QUESTION: What is right about the Lord giving the world darkness?

ANSWER: The world likes darkness!

(John 3:19 “. . . men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.”)

Joel 2:31 “The sun shall be turned into darkness . . . before the great and the terrible day of the Lord come.”

Acts 2:20 “The sun shall be turned into darkness . . . before that great and notable day of the Lord come. . . .”

Amos 5:18 “Woe unto you that desire the day of the Lord! to what end is it for you? the day of the Lord is darkness, and not light.”

5:20 “Shall not the day of the Lord be darkness, and not light? even very dark, and no brightness in it?”

Zephaniah 1:15 “That day is a day of wrath, a day of trouble and distress, a day of wasteness and desolation, a day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness. . . .”

[A paradox?]

1st John 1:5 “This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.”

QUESTION: How is it that the Lord himself is “the light” yet he brings darkness to the world at the end?

ANSWER: He came before as the light and was hated, so He now comes to the world with something it loves: darkness.

Micah 7:8 “Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the Lord shall be a light unto me.” (but not unto the Lord’s enemies!) (How can this be?)

Exodus 14:1-20 “. . . it was a cloud and darkness to them, but it gave light by night to these. . . .”

Remember also Exodus 10:23. (above)

Psalm 107:14 “He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and brake their bands in sunder.”

112:4 “Unto the upright there ariseth light in the darkness: he is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous.”

John 8:12 “Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.”

12:46 “I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.”

2nd Corinthians 4:6 “For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.”

Mark 15:33 “And when the sixth hour was come, there was darkness over the whole land until the ninth hour.”

(That is, three hours of darkness, PRIOR to resurrection!)

Revelation 16:10 “And the fifth angel poured out his vial upon the seat of the beast; and his kingdom was full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues for pain. . . .”

Plagues And Destruction From The Lord

Revelation 18:1-8 “Therefore shall her plagues come in one day . . . and she shall be utterly burned with fire. . . .”

(vs. 23-24 “And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth.”)

17:16-18 “ And the ten horns . . . shall . . . burn her with fire. For God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will. . . . And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth.”

Amos 3:6 “. . . shall there be evil in a city, and the Lord hath not done it?” [A question!]

Isaiah 19:12-17 “The Lord hath mingled a perverse spirit in the midst thereof: and they have caused Egypt to err in every work thereof, as a drunken man staggereth in his vomit.”

Plagues Brought Under The Trumpets & Vials Of Revelation Compared With Exodus Plagues

(There are 7 trumpets and 7 vials, in Revelation, under possibly the same 7 angels.)

(Both trumpets and vials lead up to the destruction of the world through increasingly more severe plagues.)

(#1) 8:7 “hail and fire mingled with blood” (and 1/3 of trees & all green grass burnt up.)

Exodus 9:13-26 “. . . and the Lord sent thunder and hail, and the fire ran along upon the ground . . . of Egypt.”

16:2 “there fell a noisome and grievous sore upon the men which had the mark of the beast. . . .”

Exodus 9:1-11 “. . . the boil was upon the magicians, and upon all the Egyptians.”

(#2) 8:8-9 “the third part of the sea became blood . . . and the third part of the creatures . . . in the sea . . . died. . . .”

16:3 “the sea . . . became as the blood of a dead man: and every living soul died in the sea.”

Exodus 7:21 “And the fish that was in the river died; and the river stank, and the Egyptians could not drink of the water of the river; and there was blood throughout all the land of Egypt.”.

(#3) 8:10-11 “the third part of the rivers, and . . . fountains of waters . . . became wormwood; and many men died. . . .”

16:4-7 “the rivers and fountains of waters . . . became blood.”

Exodus 7:17-20 “I will smite . . . the waters which are in the river, and they shall be turned to blood.”

Psalm 78:1-72 (44) “And had turned their rivers into blood; and their floods, that they could not drink.”

(#4) 8:12-13 The third part of the heavenly bodies is smitten and darkened.

16:8-9 “poured out his vial upon the sun . . . to scorch men with fire.”

(#5) 9:1-12 (1st Woe) “the sun and the air were darkened . . . locusts . . . their torment was as . . . a scorpion. . . .”

16:10-11 “seat of the beast . . . full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues . . . because of their . . . sores. . . .”

[again:] Exodus 10:20-23 “And the Lord said unto Moses, Stretch out thine hand toward heaven, that there may be darkness over the land of Egypt, even darkness which may be felt.”

10:12-14 “And the locusts went up over all the land of Egypt, and rested in all the coasts of Egypt: very grievous were they; before them there were no such locusts as they, neither after them shall be such.”

[These were very special “locusts”.]

Psalm 105:1-34 “He spake, and the locusts came, and caterpillers, and that without number. . . .”

(#6) 9:13 — 11:14 (2nd Woe) Euphrates, 200,000,000 horsemen, fire, smoke, brimstone, third part of men killed

16:12-16 Euphrates dried up, way of the kings of the east prepared, and miracles of devils gather men to Armageddon.

[In Exodus, God Destroyed Egypt himself, not with an army, having gathered Pharaoh’s armies into the Red Sea.]

(#7) 11:15-19(?) (3rd Woe) “thy wrath is come,” lightnings, voices, thunderings, earthquake, great hail (then a woman)

16:17-21 “It is done.” voices, thunders, lightnings, great earthquake, great hail (then another woman)

Exodus 9:23-24 “And Moses stretched forth his rod toward heaven: and the Lord sent thunder and hail, and the fire ran along upon the ground; and the Lord rained hail upon the land of Egypt. So there was hail, and fire mingled with the hail, very grievous, such as there was none like it in all the land of Egypt since it became a nation.”

19:16 “And it came to pass on the third day in the morning, that there were thunders and lightnings, and a thick cloud upon the mount, and the voice of the trumpet exceeding loud; so that all the people that was in the camp trembled.” [The earth didn’t tremble here: the people did.]

The Lord’s Coming (How Will It Be Then?)

2nd Timothy 3 “ For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good. . . .”

For Thought: (The Lord is never seen standing, but rather sitting, on his throne, except for one time.)

1st Kings 22:19 “And he said, Hear thou therefore the word of the Lord: I saw the Lord sitting on his throne, and all the host of heaven standing by him on his right hand and on his left.”

2nd Chronicles 18:18 “Again he said, Therefore hear the word of the Lord; I saw the Lord sitting upon his throne, and all the host of heaven standing on his right hand and on his left.”

Isaiah 6:1 “In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple.”

Colossians 3:1 “If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.”

The Exception: Acts 7:55 “But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God, and said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God.”

The Lord Shall Return:

Job 19:23-27 “For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth. . . .”
