[This study is a tour through some of the doctrines that are the most offensive, irritating, and controversial for the greatest number of religious folks in these last days of rampant apostasy.]
1. The Word of God is Our Authority
[This doctrine is consistent in scripture and permeates all of scripture.]
Psalm 12:6-7 “The words of the Lord are pure words . . . thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.”
[The facts are given and simply stated. You either believe them or you do not.]
119:140 “Thy word is very pure: therefore thy servant loveth it.”
[Two facts are stated here: the second fact is a result of the first fact and involves emotion.]
QUESTION #1 “ Can you mix facts and emotions?
ANSWER: Obviously you can: the Lord just did!
QUESTION #2 “ What would you think about somebody who claimed to be the Lord’s “servant” but didn’t think the Lord’s word was pure, and did not love it?
ANSWER: Just by thinking about the answer to the question, you see the importance of Psalm 119:140.
v. 160 “Thy word is true from the beginning. . . .”
[This is not the same as, “Thy word was “plenary” from the beginning. . . .” (which is not true).]
(In order to excuse and justify themselves for not believing God’s word, educated hypocrites define “scripture” as “the original plenary autographs,” which NEVER existed.)
2nd Timothy 3:14-15 “. . . from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.”
[This one verse destroys every conceited, smart aleck, self-serving, perverted argument against the word of God that all of “religious education” ever invented.]
[What Paul calls “scripture”, was not at this time “plenary,” and neither was it “the original” (All of that had long ago rotted to dust.), and some of this “scripture” could not be defined as “autographs” even when it was originally written!]
2. The Fear of God [This doctrine involves the facts, your knowledge of the facts, your emotions, and your view of your place in the universe. This doctrine is simple, consistent, and beyond dispute for true Christians.]
Deuteronomy 5:22-29 “O that there were such an heart in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, that it might be well with them, and with their children for ever!”
[This is not a statement of doctrine directly, but an outpouring of the emotion of God concerning two doctrines of which he wishes Israel would agree with him (but they don’t have the heart for it).]
Psalm 111:10 “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. . . .”
Proverbs 1:7 “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge. . . .”
Psalm 19:9 “The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring for ever. . . .”
2nd Corinthians 7:1 “. . . let us cleanse ourselves . . . perfecting holiness in the fear of God.”
Hebrews 12:28-29 “. . . let us . . . serve God . . . with reverence and godly fear: For our God is a consuming fire.”
3. Love of the World [This is the doctrine that practically everybody stumbles over.]
1st John 2:15-17 “Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.”
James 4:4 “Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.”
3a. Desire to have Money and Things
Luke 12:15 “And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man’s life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.”
1st Tim. 6:10 “For the love of money is the root of all evil. . . .”
QUESTION: Is money evil?
vs. 3-6 “He is proud, knowing nothing . . . supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.”
Proverbs 8:18 “Riches and honour are with me; yea, durable riches and righteousness.”
3b. Desire to be Among the Powerful (Like Billy Graham sucking up to the pope, etc.; not like the Waldenses of France.)
Isaiah 59:15 “. . . he that departeth from evil maketh himself a prey: and the Lord saw it, and it displeased him that there was no judgment. ”
Romans 12:16 “Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.”
3c. Desire to Be Approved and Honoured by Men.
John 5:44 “How can ye believe, which receive honour one of another, and seek not the honour that cometh from God only?”
Psalm 49:12 “Nevertheless man being in honour abideth not: he is like the beasts that perish.”
Proverbs 22:4 “By humility and the fear of the LORD are riches, and honour, and life.”
3d. Desire to Substitute Love of the Lord with the Love of Country (Patriotism)
QUESTION: Why do nearly all American “religious” folks pay lip service to the Lord, but rabidly believe and claim that you should love your country?
(again) 1st John 2:15-17 “Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world.
Hebrews 11:13-16 “These all died in faith . . . and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country. And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned. But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city.”
4. The Tendency to Fear Men & the Willingness to Trust Men
[Observations concerning these two traits:
A. The extent to which men fear men and the extent to which men are willing to trust men are connected, because both of these personality defects arise from the same personal failure in judgment, which is the common perception that men are significant in this world and God is not.
B. The degree to which men fear men runs inversely with the degree to which they fear God.
QUESTION: If somebody asks you what you’re afraid of, what is your answer?
[Following, are some very good answers.]
Psalm 27:1 “The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?”
Proverbs 29:25 “The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the Lord shall be safe.”
Isaiah 8:9-14 “Sanctify the Lord of hosts himself; and let him be your fear, and let him be your dread.”
35:4 “Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and save you.”
41:10-15 “Fear thou not; for I am with thee. . . . Fear not; I will help thee. Fear not. . . .”
51:1-13 “. . . who art thou, that thou shouldest be afraid of a man that shall die. . . ?”
Matthew 8:23-27 “Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith?” (The question contains the answer!)
Matthew 10:28-31 “And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.”
John 14:27 “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”
Hebrews 13:6 “The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.”
Psalm 118:8 “It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man.”
QUESTION: Where do you place your trust? [CNN, the radio, the internet, science, doctors, the medical establishment, the government, “our” politicians, insurance companies, the United Nations?]
Jeremiah 17:5 “Thus saith the Lord; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man. . . .”
5. Grace, Faith, Works [It’s a package. The apostate “churches” have completely perverted doctrine concerning these.]
(You have to forget everything you’ve heard, and start over again by simply believing what God’s word says.)
Ephesians 2:8-10 “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.”
Titus 3:5-8 “Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us. . . through Jesus Christ our Saviour. . . . . . . be careful to maintain good works.”
James 2:17-26 “For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.”
(1st Peter 2:15-16 “. . . not using your liberty for a cloke of maliciousness, but as the servants of God.”)
(2nd Peter 2:19 “While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption. . . .”)
Hebrews 10:24 “And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works. . . .”
13:20-21 “Now the God of peace . . . make you perfect in every good work to do his will. . . .”
Revelation 22:12 “And . . . my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.”
2nd Corinthians 9:8 “And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work. . . .”
QUESTION: “Good” in whose opinion? (In the opinion of men? Which men? In the opinion of God? Which god?)
QUESTION: If you go to the trouble to plant a fruit tree in your back yard, why did you do so?
ANSWER: You intended to gather fruit at some time in the future. (Read 2nd Corinthians 9:8 again.)
Colossians 1:9-10 “. . . That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work. . . .”
[(1) God’s grace enters, (2) the man responds with faith, and (3) his faith in Jesus Christ bears fruit (It produces works).]
[All three of these elements are involved in “justification.”] (Patrick’s Addition)
(1) Titus 3:7 “That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs. . . .”
(2) Romans 5:1 “Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. . . .”
(3) James 2:24 “Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.”
[All this is outside of, and not related to, the works of the law.]
6. The Lord Hates Religious Hypocrisy(and always did.)
[Real belief of this doctrine will influence your thinking on all other doctrine.]
Matthew 15:7-9 “Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying, This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.”
Isaiah 29:13-14 “Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men: Therefore, behold, I will proceed to do a marvellous work among this people, even a marvellous work and a wonder: for the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, and the understanding of their prudent men shall be hid.”
7. The Commandments are Not Done Away With, or Changed, and Neither is the Sabbath Day (See: Sabbath Report)
Matthew 5:16-19 (19) “Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.”
8. Legitimacy of Warning Against the Works, Devices, & Servants of the Devil
[The unregenerate nature (the natural man) resents a personal aspect to preaching because he realizes it may come around to himself next. It’s popular to say, “You’re judging!”, or, “I don’t think it’s right to mention people by name!”, or “I don’t think it’s right to get personal.”; but the gospel and the doctrine ARE personal!)
Ezekiel 3:16-21 “. . . unto . . . a watchman unto the house of Israel . . . When . . . thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life . . . his blood will I require at thine hand.”
QUESTION: What is a man of God supposed to warn God’s people AGAINST?
ANSWER: The works and devices of the devil put into operation and effect by MEN!
Isaiah 56:10-12 “His watchmen are blind: they are all dumb dogs, they cannot bark. . . .” (so they “share”)
2nd Timothy 4:1-5 “But watch thou in all things. . . .” (Nothing is said here about getting along with the herd.)
v. 14 “Alexander the coppersmith did me much evil: the Lord reward him according to his works. . . .”
2:16-18 “But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness. And their word will eat as doth a canker: of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus. . . .”
Acts 8:9-11 “But there was a certain man, called Simon, which beforetime in the same city used sorcery, and bewitched the people of Samaria, giving out that himself was some great one. . . .”
13:6-8 “But Elymas the sorcerer . . . withstood them, seeking to turn away the deputy from the faith.”
Luke 6:16 “And . . . Judas Iscariot, which also was the traitor.”
22:3 “Then entered Satan into Judas surnamed Iscariot, being of the number of the twelve.”
John 18:5 “And Judas also, which betrayed him, stood with them.”
Galatians 2:11 “But when Peter was come to Antioch, I withstood him to the face, because he was to be blamed.”
9. The Works of the Law
Galatians 2:16 “Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.”
v. 21 “I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.”
5:1-9 (4) “Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.”
Romans 3:28 “Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.”
6:14 “For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.”
[However, this is not a justification of sin:]
Romans 6:15-16 “What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.”
(A) Meats (See: “Meats” bible study.)
For example, a “Seventh Day Adventist” says, “God is the same today, yesterday, and forever.” (misquoting Hebrews 13:8) wanting you to conclude that whatever the doctrine can be shown to have been in Genesis concerning meats must still be the same now. [This is the chosen strategy for those who have rejected the word of God for doctrine.]
Genesis 17:1-14 (10) “This is my covenant, which ye shall keep, between me and you and thy seed after thee; Every man child among you shall be circumcised. . . . and my covenant shall be in your flesh for an everlasting covenant.”
17:23-25 “And Abraham took Ishmael his son, and all that were born in his house, and all that were bought with his money, every male among the men of Abraham’s house; and circumcised the flesh of their foreskin in the selfsame day, as God had said unto him.”
21:4 “And Abraham circumcised his son Isaac being eight days old, as God had commanded him.”
Exodus 12:48 “And when a stranger shall sojourn with thee, and will keep the passover to the Lord, let all his males be circumcised, and then let him come near and keep it; and he shall be as one that is born in the land: for no uncircumcised person shall eat thereof.”
QUESTION: If you’re not circumcised then you can’t partake of the passover?
ANSWER: 1st Corinthians 5:7 “Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us. . . .” [This verse isn’t even talking about literal “leaven.”]
Leviticus 12:3 “And in the eighth day the flesh of his foreskin shall be circumcised.”
QUESTION: Any questions?
QUESTION: Is this system profitable in your opinion?
QUESTION: Is this system profitable in the Lord’s opinion?
Leviticus 26:40-42 “. . . if then their uncircumcised hearts be humbled . . . then will I remember my covenant with Jacob, and also my covenant with Isaac, and also my covenant with Abraham will I remember; and I will remember the land.”
(This is a hint that more is needed!)
Joshua 5:4-5 “Now all the people that came out were circumcised: but all the people that were born in the wilderness by the way as they came forth out of Egypt, them they had not circumcised.”
(As slaves they remembered to obey God: as free men they forgot!)
QUESTION: Is this system working well?
Jeremiah 6:10 “. . . behold, their ear is uncircumcised, and they cannot hearken. . . .”
9:25-26 “. . . all the house of Israel are uncircumcised in the heart.” (Hint, hint!)
Acts 7:51 “Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost. . . .”
Romans 4:8-12 “How was it then reckoned? . . . Not in circumcision, but in uncircumcision.”
1st Corinthians 7:18-20 “Circumcision is nothing, and uncircumcision is nothing. . . .”
QUESTION: What happened here?
ANSWER: Circumcision of the flesh is taken away in favor of something greater and more profitable to the Lord.
Galatians 5:2-3 “Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing.”
QUESTION: Is circumcision done away with?
ANSWER: In the flesh, yes, but circumcision must still be performed; and it can only be accomplished in Christ.
Colossians 2:8-12 “. . . ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ. . . .”
John 3:6-7 “That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.”
Romans 2:29 “But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter [that is, the letter of the law]; whose praise is not of men, but of God.”
Deuteronomy 30:6 “And the Lord thy God will circumcise thine heart, and the heart of thy seed, to love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, that thou mayest live.”
Genesis 14:1-20 “And he gave him tithes of all.” (This is the first time “tithe” is used.)
28:10-22 “ and of all that thou shalt give me I will surely give the tenth unto thee.”
Numbers 8:13-26 “. . . after that went the Levites in to do their service in the tabernacle of the congregation . . . as the Lord had commanded Moses concerning the Levites. . . .”
Numbers 18:20-31 “And the Lord spake unto Aaron, Thou shalt have no inheritance in their land . . . I have given the children of Levi all the tenth in Israel for an inheritance, for their service . . . of the tabernacle of the congregation.”
Malachi 3:7-9 “Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. . . . In tithes and offerings.”
QUESTION: Through whom did tithing begin?
QUESTION: Through whom did circumcision begin?
QUESTION: Abraham is a great name. Is this good enough reason to keep circumcision and tithing alive?
QUESTION: Is God great because he is the God of Abraham; or is Abraham great because God accounted unto him righteousness and he was called the friend of God?
THE WAY IT IS NOW:
Hebrews 7:1-18 (5 & 18) “. . . they that are of the sons of Levi, who receive the office of the priesthood, have a commandment to take tithes of the people according to the law, that is, of their brethren, though they come out of the loins of Abraham . . . there is verily a disannulling of the commandment going before for the weakness and unprofitableness thereof.”
(D) Observing Days (See: bible study by this title.)
April fool’s, Ash Wednesday, Birthdays, Christmas, Easter, Father’s day, Good Friday, Halloween, Lent, Martin Luther King day, Mother’s day, New Year’s day, Passover, President’s Day, Saint Valentine’s day, Sunday, Sun Signs
Leviticus 19:26 “Ye shall not eat any thing with the blood: neither shall ye use enchantment, nor observe times.”
Example: “Be sure to plant by the full of the moon.”
Example: “The first Sunday after the first full moon after the spring equinox.” (“Easter” according to “the pope.”)
Galatians 4:9-11 “Ye observe days, and months, and times, and years. I am afraid of you, lest I have bestowed upon you labour in vain.”
Deuteronomy 18:10-14 “There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch, or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For all that do these things are an abomination unto the Lord: and because of these abominations the Lord thy God doth drive them out from before thee. * * * For these nations, which thou shalt possess, hearkened unto observers of times, and unto diviners: but as for thee, the Lord thy God hath not suffered thee so to do.”
2nd Chronicles 33:1-6 “And he caused his children to pass through the fire in the valley of the son of Hinnom: also he observed times, and used enchantments, and used witchcraft, and dealt with a familiar spirit, and with wizards: he wrought much evil in the sight of the Lord, to provoke him to anger.”
[The same is also in 2nd Kings 21:6.]
Jeremiah 10:2 “Thus saith the Lord, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them.”
Colossians 2:8 “Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.”
QUESTION: What does it mean for a person or a thing to become “spoiled”?
ANSWER: It means to become ruined, corrupted, perverted!
Romans 12:2 “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”
1st John 2:15-17 “Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.”
[How many times I’ve been told how much somebody loves “Christmas”.]
2nd Peter 2:20 “For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.”
James 1:27 “Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.”
QUESTION: What do you think this means, to keep “unspotted from the world”?
[Most religious folks think they should try in every way to be as much like the world as possible in order to “get along.”]
Ephesians 2:2 “Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience. . . .”
Philippians 2:15 “That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world”
10. Assumption of Religious Trappings of Powers, and Presumption of Class Status [used by religious professionals in connection with claims of “special” status with God, for God, or over others.]
(a) Wearing Special Dress
QUESTION: Why do Catholic priests wear black robes? (or “protestant” ministers, or judges, or professors, or priests of Satan, or druids, or Voo Doo shamans)
ANSWER: To convey the impression of being special and powerful, and worthy of respect.
(Ecclesiastes 9:8 “Let thy garments be always white. . . .”)
Matthew 23:1-10 (8) “But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren.”
(b) Conducting Marriages
QUESTION: Can a minister marry you to your fiance?
(You know, the guy says, “By the power vested in me by [blah, blah], I now pronounce you man and wife?”
ANSWER: The answer can only be properly answered by another question: do you mean according to scripture, or do you mean according to everybody you might meet connected with state government?
(1) The marriage is a state marriage if your minister was licensed as an agent for the state, by the state to officiate it.
(2) Scripture never refers even once to a government sanctioned marriage; or a marriage “officiated” by anyone.
QUESTION: What’s the difference between getting married by a minister, or a justice of the peace?
ANSWER: Absolutely nothing. They are both agents of the state, acting in their capacity as agents of the state.
QUESTION: Who would you go to if you wanted to do it right and get a Godly marriage right from the beginning?
ANSWER: To the Lord, then to your fiance, then to her Dad (if you really want to be thoroughly perfect).
(Of course, along the way you might get Godly advice from any bible believing friend you had.)
QUESTION: What constitutes a Godly marriage, according to the word of God?
Genesis 24:67 “And Isaac brought her into his mother Sarah’s tent, and took Rebekah, and she became his wife. . . .”
QUESTION: If you think the minister really has the power to “marry” you to your wife, then why is it that he absolutely does NOT have the power to un-marry you? (And that, according to the law!)
Matthew 19:3-9 (6) “Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.”
(c) Performing Funerals
Matthew 8:22 “But Jesus said unto him, Follow me; and let the dead bury their dead.”
Luke 9:60 “Jesus said unto him, Let the dead bury their dead: but go thou and preach the kingdom of God.”
QUESTION: What is the most common comfort given to the bereaved by the modern man of the cloth?
ANSWER “ The dear departed was a good man, and he’s gone on to be with the Lord.”
[Both of these statements are professional lies.]
Mark 10:18 “And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God.”
 Ecclesiastes 9:3-10 “. . . the dead know not any thing. . . .”
Psalm 146:3-4 “Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help. His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; in that very day his thoughts perish.”
Psalm 6:5 (A Question:) “For in death there is no remembrance of thee: in the grave who shall give thee thanks?”
115:17 (An Answer:) “The dead praise not the Lord, neither any that go down into silence.”
John 5:28-29 “. . . all that are in the graves . . . shall come forth . . . good . . .and . . . evil. . . .”
John 6:39,40,44,54 “. . . and I will raise him up at the last day.”
Acts 2:29-34 “. . . David . . . is both dead and buried . . . [and] is not ascended into the heavens. . . .”
(d) Building More (or better) Buildings (See: “The Church” bible study.)
1st Corinthians 3:9 “For . . . ye are God’s building.”
QUESTION: If you are God’s building, what is the church?
Romans 16:5 “Likewise greet the church that is in their house.” [“God’s building” is in someone’s “house.”]
1st Corinthians 16:19 “. . . with the church that is in their house.”
Colossians 4:15 “. . . and the church which is in his house.”
Philemon 2 “. . . and to the church in thy house. . . .”
Colossians 1:18 “And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning. . . .”
Acts 2:47 “And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.” (No hammer and nails were used.)
1st Corinthians 6:19 “. . . that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God. . . .”
Acts 7:48 “Howbeit the most High dwelleth not in temples made with hands. . . .”
17:24 “. . . dwelleth not in temples made with hands.”
QUESTION: I named four things that men of the cloth spend their time doing: can you think of a fifth thing?
ANSWER: Preaching about tithing.
QUESTION: Have you ever thought about the fact that the most obvious five main things that modern fundamentalist preachers spend the bulk of their official time doing are all cast aside by the Lord?
QUESTION: What should professional religious folks be concerning themselves with?
1st Timothy 4:1 “Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils. . . .”
[This happens because they and their “leaders” abandoned the love of sound doctrine!]
v. 6 “If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained.”
v. 13 “Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.”
v. 16 “Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.”
11. “Evolution” in the Church
Genesis 1:1 “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.”
[Consider in your mind that this is the first thing the Lord said in his word.]
QUESTIONS: If you were forced to draw a conclusion from this fact, would you conclude that
this isn’t important to the Lord?
it isn’t important to the Lord how you believe on the subject?
it doesn’t matter to the Lord how you believe on the subject, as long as you’re “sincere” in your belief?
it doesn’t matter what you teach your children?
Λ Romans 3:3-4 “For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect? God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.”
Hebrews 11:3 “Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.”
QUESTION: Why would the Lord say this to us?
ANSWER: So we will not be deceived into thinking that things which are seen had to originate from such things!
Nehemiah 9:6 “Thou, even thou, art LORD alone; thou hast made heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth, and all things that are therein, the seas, and all that is therein, and thou preservest them all; and the host of heaven worshippeth thee.”
QUESTION: Why does it not say, “. . .and the inhabitants of the earth worshippeth thee.”?
ANSWER: Because they don’t! Half of them deny his existence: the other half denies his power!
Jeremiah 32:17 “Ah Lord GOD! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee. . . .”
Isaiah 40:12-17 “Who hath . . . meted out heaven with the span . . . ?” (The Lord is asking questions.)
vs. 21-24 “. . . the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers. . . .” (This is the reality men do not wish to face.)
Psalm 33:6-9 “By the word of the Lord were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.
. . . Let all the earth fear the Lord: let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him.”
[Whereas the wonder of the “heavens” should instill “awe” in men, that they would be inclined to glorify and “fear” “the Lord” for his power and genius; Satan has driven men to believe the universe MADE ITSELF. (Think about that.) They call this outrageous Satanic religious idea “science” and manage to keep a straight face!]
146:1-10 (5-6) “Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the LORD his God: which made heaven, and earth, the sea, and all that therein is. . . .”
148:1-5 “. . .praise the name of the Lord: for he commanded, and they were created.”
Isaiah 45:9-12 “I have made the earth, and created man upon it: I, even my hands, have stretched out the heavens, and all their host have I commanded.” (And the Lord is entitled to receive glory from his work.)
Genesis 1:21 “And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good.”
v. 25 “And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good.”
QUESTIONS: (1) If a tree is known by his fruits, and a man is known by his work; would it not be logical that the Lord should be known by his creation?
(2) Is it not a fact that the Lord IS known by his creation?
(3) Is it not true that the Lord is UNKNOWN through keeping his work unknown.
[You say you “preached about Jesus coming into your heart” to your children, but you sent those same children off to a Satanic, Godless public school system to be taught that there is no God!]
(4) Is it possible for there to be anything so outrageous that you would not cooperate with it?
(5) Do you not know that children can spot a hypocrite ten times more easily than an adult?
(6) Would you expect your children to believe something you told them once (or never told them), or something that is pounded into them every day at the school WHERE YOU SENT THEM?
Genesis 1:26-27 “And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.”
5:1-2 “This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day that God created man, in the likeness of God made he him; male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created.”
John 1:1-3 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.”
The knowledge of this puts Godly fear and reality and sanity into a man’s head.
America teaches its children “evolution” and is amazed that its politicians are all greedy dogs and the streets are not safe to walk at night (or in daylight)! (American politicians fear nothing except that they should be exposed in their doings, and the juvenile thugs walking the streets at night fear nothing except being rejected by their gang!)
Ephesians 3:8-12 “And to make all men see what . . . hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ . . . might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God. . . .”
[If we don’t know these things, we’ve missed our high calling. (Modern “churches” foolishly compromise their thinking with lying propaganda in order to please the world and be accepted by the “new order” of things, while they deny the Lord by their doctrine.] (The “Catholic church” did not invent the Satanic idea of “not taking Genesis literally” but they sold the idea to the daughter harlots WHO BOUGHT IT hook, line, and sinker.)
Colossians 1:9-17 “For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: and he is before all things, and by him all things consist.”
[Of course, if you don’t believe Genesis, there’s no point in trying to fool yourself that you believe any of the bible.]
Isaiah 29:16 “Surely your turning of things upside down shall be esteemed as the potter’s clay: for shall the work say of him that made it, He made me not? . . . .”
Revelation 4:11 “Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.”
2nd Peter 3:1-7 “Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts. . . .”
QUESTION: What is the effectiveness of scoffing?
ANSWER: Two things: (1) scoffing a belief different than your own is a “natural” reaction to justify yourself or your position; but more importantly, (2) this tactic against the truth is to openly HUMILIATE those who believe it, SO THAT THEY WILL KEEP THEIR MOUTH SHUT, allowing the lie to be preached to the target audience UNCHALLENGED, as though it were unanswerable.
12. The Lord is For Zion. (He is Pro-Israel)
[Satan has his “plan” and the Lord Jesus Christ has his plan. The Lord’s plan is “Zion”.]
Isaiah 14:32 “. . . the Lord hath founded Zion. . . .” (The Jews didn’t start this plan, but they’re at the center of it.)
28:16 “Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation. . . .”
[The foundation is Jesus Christ. The location of the laying of that foundation is “Zion”.]
Psalm 147:12 “Praise the Lord, O Jerusalem; praise thy God, O Zion.” (The words are interchangeable.)
1st Kings 8:1 “Jerusalem . . . the city of David, which is Zion” (also in 2nd Chronicles 5:2)
Romans 11:24-28 “For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery. . . .”
Isaiah 1:27 “Zion shall be redeemed . . . and her converts. . . .”
John 4:19-22 “Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.”
Psalm 129:5 “Let them all be confounded and turned back that hate Zion.” (That is, practically everybody!)
Ezekiel 25:6-7 “Because thou hast clapped thine hands, and stamped with the feet, and rejoiced in heart with all thy despite against the land of Israel; Behold, therefore I will stretch out mine hand upon thee. . . .”
Zechariah 12:1-3 “And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.” (And they will!)
13. The Lord is Against Women’s Lib. (He Gave Real Liberation to Everyone.) (See: “Women’s Lib” bible study.)
[“Women’s lib” and the issues associated with it did not succeed because women have become strong, but because men have become weak, lazy, and spiritually ignorant. Women have assumed power in the home, in the churches, and in the streets; NOT just because women have become like men, but because “men” have become like women (which happened first).]
(2) Cross Dressing
(3) A desire to “decorate” the body (body piercing, tattooing, jewelry, perming)
(4) Docile and weak in character a (i.e., willingness to remain passive when the occasion calls for action)
(i.e., willingness to allow (and trust) the government to provide and protect, which is a man’s job)
“Women’s Lib” 1) . . . is spiritual, proceeding from spiritual causes;
(It manifests itself politically because Satan owns politics.)
2) . . . is worldly, against Christ, against men, and AGAINST WOMEN;
(in the same way that Satan
