Doctrine

Doctrine has many sources. (You can get your doctrine from the word of God, or you can get it somewhere else!)

[Where did you get yours?]

(1) Source: James 1:16-21 “Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth . . . receive with meekness the . . . word. . . .”

[“Receive with meekness,” the word of God, but preach it with boldness.] (That’s a doctrine.)

Acts 4:29 “. . . grant unto thy servants that with all boldness they may speak thy word. . . .” (See: Acts 9:26-29)

Ephesians 6:19-20 “. . . that I may open my mouth boldly . . . that . . . I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.”

(2) Attitude: Romans 3:4 “. . . yea, let God be true, but every man a liar. . . .”

(3) Labor: 2nd Timothy 2:15 “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed. . . .”

(4) Authority: John 17:17 “. . . thy word is truth.”

Deuteronomy 32:1-4 “My doctrine shall drop as the rain . . . his way is perfect. . . .”

Proverbs 4:1-2 “For I give you good doctrine, forsake ye not my law.” (Already we’re not making any friends.)

Isaiah 28:9 “. . . and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk. . . .”

(The “ecumenical” churches produce “Christians” that are proud of being milky, and without sound doctrine.)

29:24 “They also that erred in spirit shall come to understanding, and they that murmured shall learn doctrine.”

[This is a prophecy concerning people who despise the Lord and consider his word an offense.]

James 5:19-20 “. . . he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death. . . .”

Luke 22:31-32 “. . . when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.”

Jeremiah 10:8 “But they are altogether brutish and foolish: the stock is a doctrine of vanities.” (a perfect example)

[The mere existence of a “stock” is a statement of a doctrine on the part of the person who sets it up (or tolerates it), from “Mary” in the back yard to the “statue of liberty” in New York harbor to the shame of us all.]

Matthew 22:29-33 “And when the multitude heard this, they were astonished at his doctrine.”

7:28 “And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at his doctrine. . . .”

(Also Mark 1:22, 11:18, & Luke 4:32)

QUESTION: Why should the people be astonished at the Lord’s doctrine?

ANSWER: (Matthew 7:29) He didn’t deliver like the religious crowd, and his doctrine was DIFFERENT!

16:11-12 “beware . . . of the doctrine of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees.” (That was a warning.)

[Note, that “the Pharisees” and “the Sadducees” are THE RELIGIOUS LEADERS of that day!]

(Satanic doctrine is deceptive, and you will find it INSIDE your “religion,” coming from your religion’s LEADERS.)

Ephesians 4:11-15 “That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro . . . with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive.” (The “harlot” and “her daughters.”)

1st Corinthians 13:11 “When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child. . . .”

Hebrews 5:13-14 “For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word . . . for he is a babe. But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.” (Spiritual babes are lacking in “USE” of strong meat and fail to discern the evil of their own “religion’s” doctrine, wherein it is invariably preached that doctrine is really of little importance. If the word, “doctrine” is mentioned at all, it will be preached against!)

6:1-3 “. . . leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection. . . .”

(In other words, stop using the “preaching of the cross” as an excuse to avoid“strong meat”.)

John 7:16 “Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me.”

(Evil men claim exactly the opposite, in justifying themselves, that “the Father gave all those nasty commandments and doctrines, but Jesus (or Paul) did away with them.”)

1st Corinthians 14:26-38 “. . . the things that I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord.”)

(Many of the so-called “churches” hate what is written here and ignore it based on their “private interpretation” that, “Paul said this in a letter, so it isn’t really the word of God!”)

(For example, these people will be extremely familiar with Romans 6:14, but never its CONTEXT:

Romans 6:1-17 “. . . ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.”)

(Unfortunately, they IGNORED the doctrine delivered them and preferred instead their “tradition.”)

Mark 7:9 “Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.”

2nd Thessalonians 2:7-10 “[They] . . . perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.”

Ephesians 5:5-11 “Be not ye therefore partakers with them . . . And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.” (Members of the “ecumenical movement” should be reproved, not “encouraged!”

2nd Timothy 4:1-5 “. . . reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers. . . .”

[That “time” has come!]

2nd Thessalonians 3:14-15 “And if any obey not our word . . . note that man, and have no company with him. . . .”

(So much for “Promise Keepers!”) (They, like all “ecumenicals” say “Doctrine only gets in our way.”)

Matthew 15:7-9 “But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.”

(“Methodists,” “Lutherans,” “Episcopalians,” “Presbyterians,” “Full Gospel,” “Southern Baptists,” “Seventh Day Adventists,” “Church of Christ,” “Church of England,” “Church of the Nazarene,” “Victory Love,” “Assemblies of God,” “Free Masons,” “Latter-day Saints,” “Crystal Cathedral,” “Potter House,” “Unity,” and any “church” that says “First” in front of its name — daughters of Roman Catholicism)

Isaiah 5:20-23 “Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil. . . .”

(The “churches” and news media are in agreement. They justify “the pope” and condemn bible-believers; they call the mother of cults “the church,” and call churches “cults.”)

Exodus 23:7 Unlike these, the Lord “. . . will not justify the wicked.”

QUESTION: Why do they do it? For the reward only?)

ANSWER: 2nd Timothy 3:1-4 “. . . in the last days . . . men shall be . . . despisers of those that are good. . . .”

Romans 12:9 “Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.” (You MUST take sides on the issues!)

Psalm 97:10 “Ye that love the Lord hate evil. . . .” (This is a problem if: love = friends = religion = doctrine = evil.)

Revelation 2:14-15 “So hast thou also them that hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitanes, which thing I hate.”

(What if the Lord hated the doctrine of YOUR religion, would you change your doctrine?)

(The Lord not only hated the doctrine of the Nicolaitanes, but also their deeds . See v. 6)

1st Timothy 1:8-11 This long list of evil things are all “contrary to sound doctrine. . . .”

4:1-6 “. . . some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils . . . commanding to abstain from meats. . . . For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving. . . .” (Vegetarianism, and babbling about unclean meats, is one of the main pastimes of Seventh Day Adventists, and that, “The mark of the beast is going to church on Sunday.”)

QUESTION: Why do the “Seventh Day Adventists” have such wacky Satanic doctrine mixed along side the keeping of the seventh day? Did you ever wonder that? Were you ever embarrassed by that?

MY ANSWER: This is Satan’s tactic to pollute the sabbath day and poison the world against the 4th commandment, through associating the undeniable truth of the seventh day with the rank stupidity of Adventist doctrine.]

v. 7 “good doctrine” as opposed to “profane and old wives’ fables”

v. 13 “Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.”

v. 16 “Take heed unto . . . the doctrine . . . in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.”

5:17 “Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour . . . they who labour in the word and doctrine.”

QUESTION: Why are there pastors and “religious leaders” who say that, “Doctrine doesn’t matter!”?

QUESTION: Why are there pastors and “religious leaders” who never heard of the word, “doctrine”?

6:1-5 “God and his doctrine . . . the words of our Lord Jesus Christ . . . the doctrine which is according to godliness”

2nd Timothy 3:10 “But thou hast fully known my doctrine. . . . ”

vs. 14-17 “All scripture . . . is profitable for doctrine . . . That the man of God may be perfect. . . .”

Titus 1:7-9 “For a bishop must . . . be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers.”

2:1 “But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine. . . .” (“become” = adorn) (“That dress becomes you!”)

vs. 9-10 “. . . that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Saviour in all things.”

[Think about this. You’re told to say those things which make the doctrine look good, as opposed to saying those things which make the doctrine look bad in order to make yourself look good.]

vs. 7-8 “In all things shewing thyself a pattern of good works: in doctrine shewing uncorruptness. . . .”

QUESTION: What is a good example of corrupting doctrine?

ANSWER: Wresting 2nd Thessalonians 2:3 by saying that “falling away” means rapture to prove “pre-trib rapture.”

“Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition. . . .”

2nd Corinthians 13:11 “Finally, brethren . . . be of one mind. . . .”

[False teachers claim that the only way to “be of one mind” is to de-emphasize doctrine, since you can’t be doctrinally minded and be of “one mind” with everybody. The thing is this, you DON’T want to be of one mind with EVERYBODY: you want to be of one mind with everybody who is of “one mind” with the Lord.

QUESTION: Does it say, “Study to shew thyself approved unto men. . . .”?

ANSWER: 2nd Timothy 2:15 “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”

Consequences And Examples Of Unsound Doctrine:

2nd John 9-10 “Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed. . . .” (My God is not “ecumenical,” He is doctrinal.)

2nd Timothy 2:18 “[They] have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some.”

QUESTION: If you overthrow the faith of some by falsely saying the resurrection is past already, how evil is it to say that the tribulation and mark of the beast won’t come until after the “rapture”!?

Matthew 5:17-19 “Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven. . . .”

Matthew 10:34-35 “Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.”

(Billy Graham and his extremely powerful organization sends people back to the Mother of Harlots when they are otherwise willing to come out, to win the friendship of the powerful people of this world and their god!)

ADD LIST:

Galatians 1:12 “But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man. For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.”
