Deuteronomy 30:19 “I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live. . . .”

Genesis 2″15-17 “And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it. . . .”

Proverbs 8:36 “But he that sinneth against me wrongeth his own soul: all they that hate me love death.”

Psalm 119:29-30 “I have chosen the way of truth. . . .” (“Life is full of choices.” This is an important one.)

(John 4:23 “But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.”)

(14:6 “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”)

v. 173 “Let thine hand help me; for I have chosen thy precepts.” (Or, of course, you can be like your friends.)

(Luke 6:43-49 “And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?”)

Joshua 24:14-15 “And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve. . . .”

(Matthew 6:24 “No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.”)

James 4:4 “Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.” (So whose side are you on?)

Isaiah 41:24 “Behold, ye are of nothing, and your work of nought: an abomination is he that chooseth you.

1st John 2:15-29 “Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.” (See how clear this is?)

There is no middle ground.

Matthew 12:30 “He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.”

(James 1:8 “A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.”) [He hasn’t really decided whose side he’s on.]

Even some sitting in the church don’t belong to the Lord.

Matthew 7:21-23 “And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.”

John 13:18-27 “I speak not of you all: I know whom I have chosen: but that the scripture may be fulfilled, He that eateth bread with me hath lifted up his heel against me.”

2nd Thessalonians 2:8-11 “. . . God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie . . . But . . . God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth. . . .”

The important choosing is of God.

John 15:16 “Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you. . . .”

v. 19 “If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.”

Isaiah 41:8-9 “But thou, Israel, art my servant, Jacob whom I have chosen, the seed of Abraham my friend. Thou whom I have taken from the ends of the earth, and called thee from the chief men thereof, and said unto thee, Thou art my servant; I have chosen thee, and not cast thee away.”

Daily Choices in the Fear of the Lord
